It can be hard to predict, I would imagine Levi suffered hyperextension damage to some ligaments, that is a lot better than the worse possible scenario like an achilles' blowing or leg break, but ligaments can be slow to heal.

Feel sorry for Levi, wanted him to do well at Collingwood.

After the game Bucks was resigned to the fact that Levi wasn't going to play for a while.

He mentioned Adams and Crisp as possible replacements for Levi, but it's just weird that he mentioned the word tagger in the same sentence, because I doubt if Levi's ever tagged anyone in his life, or Adams has either.

Crisp was one of the very few positives from Saturday night, when he came on that third quarter he won some clearances and actually looked better then Levi had in the first half.

So Crisp plays round 1 you'd suspect, simple replacement for Levi, just not as experienced.

Levi tagged in the midfield for us pretty often. Not always a hard tag, but he almost always was assigned a defensive job.

Hopefully his injury isn't too bad, I didn't like him for leaving, but he does deserve to be playing regular senior footy.

Balme just said that Greenwood has a fractured ankle and will be off it for 6 weeks and then however long it takes him to get back to full fitness. Reid is fine, they are managing him & he may not play round 1 but will be good for the majority of the season. The rumours were BS

Sucks about Levi, 8-10 week injury really, but if you are going to do that injury now is better then in a few weeks, as 2 of those weeks go by before the season even starts.

Not a ligament thing as such either, once it's healed he should be able to come back as good as ever, hopefully we see him by about round 8 or 9 in the seniors.

What it also does is give some of our youngsters a run in the middle though, I'd be rotating the likes of Freeman, De Goey, Crisp, Adams, Broomhead and Kennedy through their while Levi is out.

Every loss of a player through injury gives a chance to a youngster, but how many youngsters do you want in place of your first choice players?

1-2 ideally, and by that I mean youngsters ahead of players like Thomas, Blair and White, but let's face it we need to develop our kids if we are going to improve, and the quickest way to do that is through senior exposure.

Agree regarding the 3 experienced players you mentioned. Would be happy to give games to youngsters ahead of those three.
