Is anybody going with Van Berlo? I've got him in my team, but am thinking of putting a rookie in for him. Van Berlo just has that JS

I'm definitely considering trading him down to a cheaper rookie - but I'll make that call once round 1 teams are announced I think.

The extra $100k will afford me another premium in defense so I suspect its highly likely.

Mitch Duncan anyone?

Chris Masten anyone?

Double the Fist thoughts?

I like him, probably west coasts number 2 midfielder behind Priddis so plenty of ball for him each week, if he's your M5/6 I'd definitely take him into serious consideration

Has me very interested.
If i need cash he'll come into real contention

Need to check his 2014 stats

hairy lasoo thoughts
No from me, just can't see any improvement from him unfortunately, been on our list for 7 years.:( This guy has a massive tank but his lack of size, can't break a tackle and his tendency to shirk contests is not so SC friendly. One of the reasons our midfield blows.

I would put Masten well behind as a mid, Priddis, Shuey, Gaff our main engine. Masten is good at chipping into space.
Shuey could be the one to watch.

don't you mean alleged premium in defence?

Genuine premo options aren't exactly falling out of trees back there.

Going off the last five years you would have to say Shaw & Kelly are definite top 6.
Kelly playing large stints in the midfield pushing back across half back and not tagging, do you reckon Geelong will persist with him playing this role? Won a truckload of clearances against The Blues on the weekend. If so, he's gotta be close to a no-brainer.

Don't see why not, Bartel said Kelly will be in the middle more so obviously it's part of the plan to get him around the contest. He's very good in tight even though there isn't much of him. Don't go expecting 105 but I don't think 90+ is too much to ask considering his last five years are all 90+ and a peak of 103. If it was anyone else with those numbers they would be first picked, he just doesn't seem like a very popular player for some reason. I hate having Geelong players in my team so they have to tick every box to get in.

With some more senior bodies back in the midfield, I suspect that Scott is trying to lessen the load on Selwood being the main inside mid, shouldering most of the grunt work, could possibly affect Selwood's scoring? Will still average premium scores but perhaps not the 120 he is priced at now?

You can't stop Selwood smashing in so that won't change. He's only got one speed. Now that he's added goal kicking to his game and he's in his prime I'd be surprised if he went under 120. I'm trying not to sound like a fan and failing miserably.

North supporters..

Is Daniel Wells a steal at 361k, could be a real solid investment or a total bust! Thoughts? Fitness a concern?

I took both.

Wells as m6 and Bont as f4... BRILLIANT

Make sure you have Jed Anderson, 100% lock in our side and will spend big % chasing the footy in our midfield along with Will Langford who is also a steal at Wells prices.
