Starting to consider Mitch Wallis (340k) as a stepping stone. Scored 120 and 97 in NAB games. May score better this year without Libba & Griff.
Thinking of the following without Ablett strategy:
Start with Wallis at M6 & a Mid/Fwd rook (Lambert, Krak) at M11.
If Wallis starts the season well, leave him in until he gets close to 500k, then upgrade to Gaz.

If Wallis struggles early, corrective downgrade to the best perfoming mid rookie that I don't have, then swing Lambert forward for H.Bennell and upgrade Bennell to Ablett.

Thoughts?

Is using Steven, Swallow, Griffen or Danger an option as stepping stone for Ablett? Can you squeeze 110-220k from elsewhere?

What do people think the following players will average.

JPK 116
Dangerfield 109
Griffen 103 (very dependent on GWS contending for the 8, I think he'll start ok and fall off later in the year)
Sloane 108
Selwood 122
Beams 112
Ward 104
Prestia 107
Stevie J 102 (I think the end is coming)
Watson (with no ASADA) 105

Make sure you have Jed Anderson, 100% lock in our side and will spend big % chasing the footy in our midfield along with Will Langford who is also a steal at Wells prices.
As gingy said he looks likely to be a sub. Who else do you think would be a sub candidate for your best 22? Also who will be hawks tagger now?

Or you could just get ablett?
May burn 100k early if not in form but a keeper nonetheless so who cares. Not worth the trades

The way we are going pre season I think Billy Hartung/Duryea will be subs.. Jed is rated extremely highly, he may be sub but if you see any of Whitecross/Duryea/Hartung/Simpkin/Woodward/O'Rourke named then Jed is certainly starting.

Selwood 121
Beams 108
Ward 120

What do people think the following rookies will avg?

Newton
Cripps
Sheed
Jed
Heeney
Salem
MClarke
Hogan

Newton- 70
Cripps- 85
Sheed- 70
Jed- 50 (Higher if not sub)
Heeney- ^
Salem- 75
MClarke- 75
Hogan- 65

In the case of Anderson and Heeney both will have reasonable max prices which don't reflect the average as i'm sure both will have games non sub affected which will boost them up

Havnt seen much mention of Ellis-Yolman as a rookie option.

Any interest from anyone?..
he's going to be a premium lol
will play 22 games and average 90+ imo
