With all this talk of Jordan Bourke, and my own RD hopes of Jesse Glass-McCasker, I think it's high time for a quiet chuckle about our new man Jade Gresham and the ever-growing "J Squad" at the club...

Look at 'em all!

FB: JOE Baker-Thomas - XXXX - XXXX
HB: XXXX - JAKE Carlisle - JARRYN Geary
RK: JASON Holmes - JACK Steven - JADE Gresham
CR: JACK Newnes - XXXX - JACK Billings
HF: JACK Sinclair - XXXX - XXXX
FF: XXXX - JOSH Bruce - JACK Lonie

:D

I haven't heard a thing about Harper but I have been out of the country.

Is he still available? If so, I think I'd happily give up pick 5 in the rookie draft for him (assuming we aren't heavily into any 18 year olds).
I've been in the country and have not heard anything about him not even on the AFL website. I believe one of the ITKs said that we were looking into him. With all the excitement of draft night I completely forgot about him. I suppose it comes down to whether we need another Membrey type 3rd tall forward or our recruiters believe he can also pinch hit in the midfield.

More of a Steve Johnson type isn't he? Obviously without the production yet

Is there a rookie draft order anywhere?

Just watching back at the draft and something seems wrong with the either the bidding or the graphic used for the Richmond bid on Hipwood.

Graphic says pick 14 and 39 for picks 36 and 37.

Should be bid 14 (1161 pts less 20% = 929 owed)

Brisbane use pick 36 (502pts) now owe 427
Brisbane use pick 37 (483pts)

This is overs by 56pts so pick 37 would become 69 not 39 (a potential typo on the graphic) leaving them with the 2 picks immediately before saints not 3.

But then the Keays bid comes in...
Pick 24 = (785pts less 197 discount = 588 owed)
Pick 38 = 465 pts leaves 123 owing
Pick 39 = 446 pts

This is overs by 323 points and should give them pick 46 back (after the saints).

Now I'm not suggesting it changes who we take but can someone more familiar with the finer points of the system check out the logic.

Just doesn't seem right that the net effect of 3 late 30s picks is all that is needed to cover bids at 14 and 24.

Still stuck on Greg Clark - 193cm mid, +15 beep, WA captain, super hard to match up - want.

looking at our list we have deficiencies in a big strong clearance mid, wingers, utilities and HFF/Medium FWDs

clark would address our lack of height and could be moulded into a tall utility

i think he will be gone by our pick though. probs any of brisb, dees, GC, dons. my pick is gold coast, they love their WA boys

doesnt help their WA recruiter is an ex subi player who has plenty of contacts/is around the club often
