In all likelihood yes but in doing so they cost themselves the pick immediately following their first rounder (currently pick 10) and then the discussions start back at pick xx later in the first round.Boundary Writer surely Crows would match $500-600K straight away?
Any offer the Crows match makes a trade difficult considering that Stephen Motlop leaving the Cattery is probably their best hope of securing a 2nd first round pick at this stage as he has now also been linked with both Richmond and North Melbourne.
But if Motlop goes anywhere bar the Crows it ties Geelong's hands as they will also need their first round pick for a Lachie Henderson trade you would think.
I don't know, I really don't know how this will play out but I can see lots of token trades happening around any Dangerfield trade should the cards fall that way.
