When was the last time BB had 20 touches and 39 hitouts?
Big Boy and Hale/Ceglar usually share ruck duties 50/50 so it's hard for him to get Goldstein (or Lycett that night) sort of numbers who ruck 90 percent of game time. Whilst he is an average tap ruckman his work around the ground is very good. You clearly don't rate or support McEvoy which is a shame for any player busting a gut for the mighty Hawks.

I'd like to see BB jump

Thornton played in the Deer Park GF last year, was probably earning more there than he was the last year he was at Carlton...
Playing in a big g/f this weekend for Dalyston against Fish creek in the Alberton league

It's not a strong suit in his game unfortunately. He has a great tank, excellent work rate and strong hands. His lack of a vertical leap means he needs to crash in and nullify the opposition ruckman at centre bounces. Has good core strength so does ok with boundary throw-ins.

Must be big $$ up there? Deer park are just a retiring home for ex league players to collect and play

Foxy said we are maxed out next year as it currently stands.

Now if Lake 300 Hale 250 and suckers 250 all move on we have enough to entice the Snake for sure.

Get it done.

Big Boy hasn't exactly been competing against Dean Cox, Nic Natinui and Callum Sinclair (not that Callum is better). Scott Lycett has far more raw ability than BB but yeah your right, BB has more runs on the board.
I prefer football smarts to raw ability with regard to ruck men. Lycett looks a talent no doubt but BB has the runs on the board at this stage. Lycett needs to make a career decision at the end of this season as he won't build on those 28 games too quickly playing behind Natanui and Sinclair.

My dad played a few games for Fish Creek about 55 yrs ago. How are they looking for GF ?
Do they still wear sw$nes jumpers ?
Gonna be up against it as Dalyston haven't lost a game this season. And yep they still wear a sort of Sydney jumper with a Roo in the V part.

89Adopter it wouldn't make any sense to Hawks threatening to walk away from Equalization if their wish of future draft picks being allowed to trade wasn't granted if they don't use it.

The way I see it, Treloar has come out and said he'd like to get to Collingwood, Dixon has come out and would like to get to Port, these are players who are nominating teams out of the finals race. That leaves Carlisle and Bennell, they have both indicated (or had indicated for them) that they are moving from their current club, yet neither have declared where they would prefer to be traded.

It could be a coincidence or it could be that the clubs they are looking to get to are still in the finals race. I'm not saying that our club will pick up both players, just leads me to believe that the clubs still active are the ones in the picture.

Remember that the trading of future picks can work the other way as well and the Hawks could be looking to trade out for picks to load up on next years stronger or deeper draft / free agency.
