Fair enough, but again in your opinion
Maybe Im just a harsh judge
I remember a couple of years back having a discussion of this sort over a ruckman who had been on our list a long time...:D
But I respect your opinion nonetheless

I'm sorry you've lost me....was this a discussion with me.

They will have a lot of mids in the same age bracket all wanting a pay rise at the same time. Cloke will be gone by the time these boys are in the prime.
Given Moore appears to be a ripper. I would have thought instead of tracking Aish as well as Treloar they might have been chasing KPP.

Things can turn around pretty quickly, especially in terms of development. Treloar is already a ready made that will be adding to the group in terms of a mature footballer far beyond his years.
Cloke by that time will be a secondary option to Moore....they are going extremely hard at adding talent to its list with a very good track record at development.....Personally I think they are doing all the right things...it makes me sick.

Yes, that's why Carlisle's silence is deafening.

2 weeks after the season is complete and most destinations are coming to light but no reference on the Carlisle situation. Just guesses or implied references to St Kilda and the Bulldogs.

In conjunction with Frawley, our back line is set for the next 6 years.

No word from Danger, but the word is there will be word next week after the Brownlow, AA and BnF are over. Word.
If all these rumours are true and he is going to Geelong, is there any relevance in waiting after these events (mentioned above) are over before making the announcement? Can someone with public relations/media insight shed some light over this strategy?

We had a robust discussion on whether that ruckman who had been on our list for a long time for one senior game would ever make it
dasher ended up getting involved
Hay , hay , hay .......don't go dragging me in on your little Tay ta Tay !!!

After all , It was just my opinion about the ruckman in question :D

Jarrad Jansen young Cats big bodied mid requesting a trade to Brisbane for more game time.

Is game time that important when you are getting pumped every week? You know you are desperate when you are willingly looking at being traded to the Lions.

Because sitting at the Crows table and potentially winning the Brownlow after just saying you'll play elsewhere next year isn't the greatest look. Even on good terms, clubs (not the players mind you) can get a tad salty when you leave. Look at Gunston when he left Adelaide.

Good god
I have no criticism of Aish, again please quote my posts that say so
As for meaningful discussion, you attacked me because you don't agree with my opinion, did you not?

Apparently I have to write an essay to support an opinion where as others do not
Ok, I don't think Aish will be elite
There's my essay
Feel free to tear it apart

I find myself feeling somewhat childishly gleeful that you are frustrated now, due to the fact you are trying to act superior
You compared him to Rhys Palmer...

If you don't think Aish will be elite based on what you have seen please elaborate on what you have seen. Its that simple. Let me show you how it is done.

1. Aish has demonstrated a high level of performance in the SANFL as an under age player from 16 years of age.
2. Aish was considered the number one pick in the country for a large part of his under 18 season before falling in the draft to the Lions.
3. Aish performed very well in his first season and finished 4th in Rising star award in a pretty poor team.
4. His video of under 18 and his first year of AFL demonstrate good hands off the deck and over head. Good skills and good pace.
5. He has been offered $450k per year for three years from the lions who are in a great position to know what his potential is. That other clubs are in the ball park signals they rate him also.
6. There are reasons he didn't play as well this year (injuries and other) that I won't delve into but suffice to say they won't prevent him becoming elite.

I was thinking more along the lines of another big bodied mid getting between him and more game time.

Or he could go fishing and not attend. Is that not a good look as well?

Mate let it go. You are the one wrecking this thread, IMO.

So tempted to state that I don't rate him based on nothing at all, oops I just did!

I was considered the same as a jnr in VIC, so what
2. Aish was considered the number one pick in the country for a large part of his under 18 season before falling in the draft to the Lions.
Draft order means squat- ask Richard Tambling
3. Aish performed very well in his first season and finished 4th in Rising star award in a pretty poor team.
So?
4. His video of under 18 and his first year of AFL demonstrate good hands off the deck and over head. Good skills and good pace.
So do alot of other players who dont become elite
5. He has been offered $450k per year for three years from the lions who are in a great position to know what his potential is. That other clubs are in the ball park signals they rate him also.
So you want to pay him 450k a year to join us?
6. There are reasons he didn't play as well this year (injuries and other) that I won't delve into but suffice to say they won't prevent him becoming elite
He is along way from Elite, maybe our understanding of the word elite is quite different
