If an unnamed Hawk player is being traded for an early pick/s then it won't happen until after the Carlisle deal is settled otherwise Essendon will just want that pick instead.

Or maybe it is one of those pending deals i.e. we will do this deal unless we can acquire this pick in which case we will do a different deal. Got to assume it is Litherland or Obrien. Only players who have talent and we are likely willing to trade.

I'm guessing, but Melbourne have shown willingness to offload high picks in recent years. Now that the Howe > GC trade isn't happening for them, maybe they're looking to use pick 6?

Boys and girls if we pull this off this is huge.

Hawthorn haven't been in the position for years to draft quality KPP's. They are the hardest to find. With Frawley and Carlisle we are set for a longtime in regards to KPD's.

Midfielders are easier to grab. You need your spine healthy before you can achieve anything and the Hawks are going about this perfectly given the position we are in!

Wrighty and Clarko just get it done!

Best thing about this Carlisle situation has been the reaction on the $wans board. They are literally throwing their toys out of the cot, claiming its a Victorian AFL conspiracy against interstate teams and just losing their shit in general.

Funny thing is even now they seem incapable of understanding the outrage of rival clubs towards their franchise. I guess they just assume every club has a COLA & Academy of its own!
