It's frickin 12:14am here in Kansas City and I've got to get up at 6:00am, but this shit has got me giggling and hitting re-fresh like a Galaga machine.
What's happening now?
I need to know and then go to bloody sleep! :)

This just seems like a win-win situation to me.

If we get Carlisle we have a decently young, ready-made defensive recruit for Lake that allows Gibson to continue being the third man and Frawley to shut down his opponent. Carlisle can play Lakey's role (or a poor mans version) as I believe Carlisle is also a decent aerialist and reader of the ball. It also gives Heatherley and Brand more time to develop in Box Hill (Heatherley plays a lot like Gibson I've noticed, enjoys running and linking despite his size).

If St.Kilda do give up Pick Number 5, we still gain pick 15 from North Melbourne for Anderson which is much higher than anything we thought we'd originally receive.

Either way, without real Academy players Essendon line up with high picks in one of the weakest recent drafts. I can't see how we lose.

The three clubs have agreed to the deal in principle but it is far from over the line.

Carlisle, who is overseas on holiday, is understood to be prepared to move to the Hawks, but only in the event that St Kilda is unable to broker a trade with Essendon.

Anderson is believed to be open to a move to Arden Street after visiting the club last week.

But the opportunity-starved young Hawk has been heavily courted by rival clubs since the Grand Final and would have other options if the Hawthorn-Essendon-North deal falls over.
