I heard that Melbourne are looking to try to join the Hawks as a club.

In a reverse-merger, Melbourne - including former Coach of the Year, Paul Roos - are excited at becoming Hawks & being coached by Clarko. In response, Hawthorn suggested that they were frustrated at already having to fund basket-cases via the luxury tax so may as well have Brayshaw & Hogan available as players on the list.

I'll let you know if I hear any more...;)

Dogs ARE NOT leading the race , Blues have put 5yrs/700-750 in front of him and are leading for his services .
Same contract as rumoured to be in front of Treloar. Carlisle is 1-2 years older.

Who do you think would help you win a Premiership sooner? A petulant "swing man" who is stronger at defence or a possession gatherer who doesn't really "hurt" teams when he gets (a lot of) it?

2016: Carlisle

Eagles have talls at both ends & are close enough to strike.
Footscray & GWS have dynamic talls as forwards & will require countering with quality big defenders. Simply can't match GWS for midfield firepower so the best we can hope for (2017 & beyond) is to blanket them with defensive game style & win at either end.

We need a KPD to partner Frawley for the next 5+ years & desperately need a ready-made, bullish Alpha inside mid. We can't afford them both via trade, hence Danger via FA is critical. We can't afford both in our salary cap, either. Back-ended deals the only hope.

My ideal scenario is Danger ending up at Dingley and Treloar ending up at Tigerland.

But that's more a personal want thing than a I "know" anything, thing.

Harley Bennell, come on down....
Didn't Barrett also insist that we were balls deep into Tarrant? Maybe we were ... but until you hear it from a more reliable source take it with a cup of salt!

Terry Wallace did say on trade radio regarding Bennell , watch this space as the Hawks are up 2 something, we have been and will continue to be linked to every mid , clutching at straws boys , hopefully one gets it right in the end
