The more I watch nicnat, goldy, Jacobs the more I think 'what an absolutely brilliant bunch of inside mids we must have' that these guys never had the rucks in the ilk of those guys! Nicnat is a untamed monster at the centre clearances. I would like a technically great tap ruckman if we can jag one at the trade table.
Recon i might bump this one day .

Do the Hawks needs another established ruckman? If hale goes Id prefer a young un-established bloke who can play well if needed but won't get unhappy playing 2s all the time as Ceglar and McEvoy take over.

Someone like a Witts, Nankervis or Phillips-type.

Apart from Jacobs, Goldstein, Martin and Naitanui who id assume aren't going anywhere, the only established rucks I could see fitting in at Hawthorn would be Kreuzer, Leuenberger and Gawn. All good rucks, all excellent around the ground and all threatening up forward.

All three have a horrid injury history though.

Interesting.

Could we be in the hunt for a this Tasmanian footballer?

I reckon we need a power forward who can take marks- not sure Roughead can do this anymore. Rarely marks and goals anymore sonce he was moved into the midfield.

This. Would be very nervous picking any of these guys up.

Leuenberger 108 (Possible 198) games in 9 seasons.
Kreuzer 117 (Possible 176) games in 8 seasons.

Max Gawn would be the 1 to look at out of the three. Into his 4th season (37 games) and on the up unlike the other to who are basically done imo. Gawn has trended upwards in hitouts, disposals and marks this year. He is only 23.

Leuenberger will be 28 next year and Kreuzer 27. If the club was looking at one of these two I would not imagine the contract would be better than Hales?

Recon your wish might come true sooner rather than later .
Can you provide a little more info? Are we just looking at an established ruck in general or do we have a specific player in mind? If the latter is it essentially "done"?

Or is he talking about Pittoent?

If fagan goes we are in trouble. Honestly think after Clarko he is the most important person at the Hawks. I'd be fuming and hoping really awful things for Carlton and Bolton.
I reckon Russel is the most important person after Clarko but Fagan is very valuable. I'd suggest that the football department spending soft cap is responsible for Fagan departing (assuming he is leaving).

Fagan is the man behind Clarko and always reminds me of the term "behind every good man is a good woman", it seems to be a similar kind of relationship between Clarko and Fagan. Fagan is always by Clarko's side and there for him in the good times and bad. Kinda keeps Clarko in check too.
This could have a bigger impact on the club, and Clarko, than many may think if indeed true.

Grabbing a Griffin-freo Warnock-blues or even a Minson-dogs as a back up as we could get either for a pack of chips , we need to use our bargaining chips this year on mids , if we don't address our midfield it will run like Carltons forward line since fevola
