Surprised there isn't anything here yet, was a fairly large contingent looking on at freo oval this morning.

I arrived late after my lecture finished unexpectedly early, I didn't see a whole heap, but for what it's worth here are my observations.

As tweeted by Lachy Reid it was mostly handball drills, no match sims or running for the main group. It was fairly small by the time I arrived, I mean missing a lot of senior players. Perhaps someone who saw the full session can confirm if any of Pav, McPharlin, Sandi and Johnson and more took part earlier. I assume the majority were working in the gym.

Ballas trained with a lot of intensity. He always does, but he looks hell bent on redeeming himself this finals series. Sheridan and Neale also impressed, these two probably have the best hands in close of the younger group.

It was encouraging to see Griff running out there. Assuming he tweaked his hammy against Melbourne he's on track for the typical 21 day turnaround and could potentially replace Clarke if the match committee backs him in.

Also, Mora was out there doing end to end running. Seems like he's in full pre-season mode. I'm tipping him to stay on the senior list for at least another year, he's had his break and is now getting his body right. Giving himself the best chance to make a final go of it.

Not much more to report, was an easy going session. Hopefully other posters can add further insight.

This time of the year with the position we are in - its all about recovery - maintaining touch and being able to clear the mind. Its all about what's going on behind the doors

Hoping the boys are taking some time to relax, not read too much about footy related gossip and spend some fun time together

Saw the full session was just like a light session handball drills a few run throughs it was awesome seeing mora on the track hes in pre season mode as someone else said

I know we say it every year but having a fit Mora is almost a new draft pick - and if he by somehow could come good - would be a massive input to our team. I would be super pumped to see him busting packs in the middle with Fyfey!

It was the main group doing some light warm up running followed by handball drills.
There was also a type of catching exercise with players keeping one arm straight up
And catching the ball before throwing it back to the player opposite.

Players involved included ; Ballas, sherro, Gu, Crowls, Weller, Zac C, Mayne, Hill, Moller, Silvagni, deBoer, MickyB and Zac Dawson. Sandi was doing light end to end running while Crozier and Langdon did some laps.
Mora has upped his running rate and was doing a series of three qtr pace sprints followed by half pace laps.

Jon Griffin was doing some lap work about an hour into training.
The squad disappeared indoors probably for a meeting as they were off the track for about 40 minutes.

Not sighted while I was there were Luke, Fyfe, Pav, Johnson, Danyle, Mundy, Suban, Lachie Neale, sutcliffe, Spurr , Ibbo and Walters, from Saturday's game.

A lot of the other young Peel boys not sighted. Their season may be over.

Beautiful morning in the warm sun watching the boys run around. Highlight was Fyfe signing autographs and posing for photos for a big group of fans .
Fyfe had an ice pack on the injury but apart from that looked OK.He didn't partake in any of the training. Pav and Connor spent the session on exercise bikes in the sun watching training,Pav looked fine. Crosier and Luke poked their heads out of the gym to have a look but that was the most we saw of them.Spurr and Sonny ran laps.
The rest of the squad had a full session incl match sims. Silvagni and Crowls trained well ,Sandi practised above head marking .All the players where in good spirits with even Ross giving a wave to the fans.
