Recruiters don't tell draftees anything. At least that is the case at Freo.
My son is also named Bort.
Cause they have the hobbit and a few other smalls. They only draft certain types of players when it's too late.

Would take English with our first if still available - just saw his highlights for the first time - never seen a player that tall so clean on ground level - his skill and coordination is midfielder-like. Moves much better than Cox ever did.
Don't want to depress the poor kid beforehand by letting him know he'll be wearing purple.

Surely teams must make contact with potential draftees before hand to suss them out. A guy I worked with that got drafted a couple of years ago had the team call him before hand to say they were interested in picking him.

Isn't English an overager? Rucks do usually take a while to develop and he is skinny AF. So we should start looking to grab a ruck in the next few drafts. Or just wait and poach one later.

Will be interesting to see in 5 years and 15-20kg's time if he maintains the agility and touch. Oh and if he can ever develop ruck skills better than that of a 10 year old child he may become a decent ruck at afl level. Give me jeremy goddard over english any day of the week.

It's Luke Ryan though from the VFL he has us taking.
Love his work and respect the hell out of him for the effort, but his drafts are based simply on what he feels the clubs needs are more than any inside info or real in depth club by club needs analysis.
His strength is in rating the talent. Can't think off the top of my head any picks he has actually nailed for us in the last few years so take with a grain of salt.
We DO need a KP forward some time soon but i hope we can get 3 years out of JK and since next years draft is better for KP players i would wait till next year as this years are nothing special.
Well they have a great track record with aboriginal kids from Gero so it's possible.
