Gone off Begley? Or will he not be on the board still?

On the board. But is a definite 2nd rounder. I've seen more games of Ridley than Begley & rate him higher personally.

39 would be more realistic

If Luke Ryan gets to Pick 39, I'll eat my hat and never be seen on here again.

I stopped reading once I saw Zach Sproule in the 20s.

I thought it was yours. Same format

Who wouldn't?

On topic, I think we really need a KPD in this draft.

Why bother grabbing a 2nd tier KPD when they won't be ready to play this year anyway? I'd rather we took two key position players in the 1st round next year when the draft is supposed to be stronger in that area. Most likely those kids we take in next years draft would be further along in their development anyway.

The knock on Brennan Cox is his competitiveness and he’s the best KPP likely to be available at our pick 27. He just sounds like another Elton, Post etc. Athletic tools, no intensity equals a bust for me.

Draft picks that might be available in the early 20s-30s...some might slip....at a pinch, whilst some others might be bid on special help clubs..... For what it's worth...something to mull over

Realistically...(based on who most likely will be there at our pick) I really like Jack MaiBaum...Rance clone is always good, Ridley, Battle and Williamson also look the goods.....depending on needs...

Dylan CLARKE
POS: Midfielder, Ht 187cm, WT 85kg, DOB 6/9/98
From Eastern Ranges/Vic Metro
Clarke led the under-18 carnival for disposals (averaging 25 in four games), clearances (22 in total), hard ball gets and contested disposals. That sums him up as a player in a nutshell. The younger brother of Kangaroos midfielder Ryan Clarke is a ball-winning machine. He's consistent in his attitude and application, and can be relied upon to dig into a pack and come out with the ball in his hands. He doesn't have the most fashionable kick, but his running power – both offensively and defensively – highlights his top-end workrate.

Jordan Gallucci...
Most likely gone in the late teens
Size:
183cm/75kg
Position: Midfield/Half-Back
Plays Like: Jack Steven
outside speed and class – Gallucci offers both. Gallucci is a terrific athlete who carries the ball and breaks the lines. From Eastern Ranges/Vic Metro...Gallucci wins plenty of contested ball and hunts it at the stoppages. He offers more than just an in-and-under type, however, with his breakaway speed and run often getting him into open space. He has shown an ability to kick goals – he booted five one week for the Eastern Ranges at TAC Cup level – and is a professional, steady character determined to do well. He was a co-captain of Vic Metro's division one winning team at the carnival

Josh Battle

Size: 192cm/90kg
Position: Key Forward
Plays Like: Jack Darling
Battle represents the second best key forward in the draft. Battle boasts terrific endurance and marking, and would be an excellent foil for Jack. From Dandenong Stingrays/Vic Country
Battle was superb in Dandenong's loss to the Murray Bushrangers on Sunday, kicking six of 12 goals for the Stingrays in a brilliant display. His goals came in a range of different ways, too, with some great set shots interspersed with snaps and ground level goals. Battle had been relatively quiet leading up to the finals but is a prospect who converts his chances when he gets them. He has a great endurance base which should help him be a running tall option.

Brad Scheer
Size: 184cm/83kg
Position: Midfield
Plays Like: Jack Ziebell
Scheer is a big bodied midfielder who can dominate stoppages, but also possesses the ability to move forward and kick a goal.

Sam Powell-Pepper

Size: 186cm/83kg
Position: Midfield/Half-Forward
Plays Like: Dustin Martin
Powell-Pepper is an exciting midfielder boasting a mix of speed and strength. He can play forward and back, and will be able to add intimidation to the midfield. He is also a great leader.

Isaac Cumming

Size: 183cm/72kg
Position: Half-Back
Plays Like: Heath Shaw
adds polish, run and carry off half-back, Isaac Cumming possesses terrific pace and precise kicking.

Cedric Cox

Size: 184cm/70kg
Position: Half-Back
Plays Like: Chris Yarran
Cedric Cox – a half-back who breaks the lines with his pace and terrific kicking ability. Cox has already shown that he is happy to move away from home, having moved from WA to Melbourne, A draft bolter this year who hails from Halls Creek, the same remote Kimberley community in Western Australia as Sam Petrevski-Seton. Cox moved to Camperdown in Victoria last year and has only come on the scene this season for the North Ballarat Rebels. He has great pace and skill, and moves well through traffic, loving little more than baulking an opponent and dodging past. The indigenous prospect has also stepped up to play in the VFL for the North Ballarat Roosters and has plenty of breakaway pace.

Josh Rotham
Size: 192cm/79kg
Position: Defender
Plays Like: Josh Gibson
Not tall enough to become a key defender, he has the athletic attributes to become a third or fourth tall who intercepts and rebounds in a similar fashion to Easton Wood or Jeremy Howe. From West Perth/Western Australia. The West Australian hasspent more time in the midfield of late, and gathered 31 disposals two weeks ago for West Perth's colts side. Even though he has played most of the past couple of years as a third tall defender, Rotham might end up more of a wingman/midfield option given his extreme pace and line-breaking ability. After a really promising season last year as a bottom-ager, this season has had its ups and downs for Rotham. With his athletic attributes he has a point of difference to others.

Tom Williamson
Size: 188cm/79kg
Position: Outside Midfielder/Half-back
Plays Like: Brodie Smith
Is a player with line-breaking qualities off half-back and Williamson possesses plenty. Williamson has shot further up the draft order after a terrific Draft Combine, where he finished as the best in the agility test as well as top ten in the beep test, 3km time trial, standing vertical jump and running vertical jump.
During games, Williamson can dance around the tackle, and has the strength to bust through one – often subsequently delivering beautifully on his preferred left foot. Despite always taking the game on and trying to run past opponents, Williamson also has composure and vision and rarely burns the ball. He also possesses terrific hands at ground level and in the air, where he can take a strong intercept grab. He will need to add some consistency to his performances,

Jordan Ridley
Size: 192cm/79kg
Position: Utility
Plays Like: Sam Reid
Looking for height at either end of the ground?... Ridley would be an excellent selection as a versatile tall with great mobility. Ridley is a swingman, he has the ability to take a great mark at either end and is mobile enough to play on a range of forwards.

Patrick Kerr
Size: 194cm/93kg
Position: Key Forward
Plays Like: Josh J Kennedy
Patrick Kerr is an old-fashioned lead-up forward. He is quick on the lead and has terrific hands. From Oakleigh Chargers/Vic Metro...After missing selection in the first Vic Metro game of the under-18 carnival, Kerr hit back with an impressive final three games to win All Australian honours. He took the most marks on the lead of any player in the carnival, and booted nine goals. He is a good grab above his head and when his kicking is on and confidence is up, he is a nice shot for goal. Kerr impressed during last year's TAC Cup finals series for the Oakleigh Chargers and once he found his form this season showed why he is in the top bracket for tall forwards available this year.

Brendan Cox
Size: 194cm/90kg
Position: Key Defender
Plays Like: Daniel Talia
Cox is an excellent one-on-one defender and has the football smarts to become a solid defender at AFL level.

Jacob Allison
Size: 194cm/79kg
Position: Midfield
Plays Like: Trent McKenzie
a talented Queenslander, Allison has some terrific weapons in the form of his athleticism, height and ball use, but has struggled to find form this year.

Zachary Sproule
Size: 197cm/84kg
Position: Utility
Plays Like: Lachie Henderson
Sproule has a terrific tank and can play at either end. He seems best suited to defence where he is an excellent defender that can also take a strong intercept mark.

Jack Graham
Size: 183cm/83kg
Position: Midfield
Plays Like: Scott Thompson
Graham is a clearance machine with an AFL-ready body. His biggest asset is his footy IQ and ability to find the ball...is a stoppage specialist who gets his hands on the ball and propels it forward. He won the Larke Medal for best player in Division One of the National Carnival, averaging 25 possessions per game and the recording the third most clearances of any player. Graham is not an exceptional kick of the footy, but he knows his limits and manages to hit a target more often than not.

Harrison Macreadie
Size: 196cm/89kg
Position: Key Defender
Plays Like: Jake Lever
Macreadie is the best remaining key defender in the draft at this point...is a mobile and talented key defender

Declan Watson
Size: 194cm/80kg
Position: Midfield
Plays Like: Harry Taylor
Declan Watson is an elite interceptor. Watson’s biggest weapons are his ability to read the play extremely well, a nice vertical leap and terrific hands above his head which make him extremely dangerous in the air. He has also shown that he can defend well and punch strongly from behind.
With ball in hand, he is extremely composed and makes great decisions. His kicking needs improvement, but despite this he has performed well against bigger bodies during his time in the NEAFL with the Lions reserve side.

Luke Ryan
Size: 185cm/82kg
Position: Half-Back
Plays Like: Rory Laird
mature aged player Luke Ryan; is a 20-year-old who started his first year in the VFL in Coburg’s development squad but soon made his senior debut and had an outstanding season as a small defender. Ryan was named the most promising young talent in the VFL and also named in the back pocket in the VFL team of the year.
As a small defender, Ryan is an elite interceptor, he averaged 9.4 intercept possessions (number one in the VFL) and an elite 41 intercept marks in 10 games. He is also very good one-on-one and provides great run and carry, with his clean skills and great decision making.

Jonty Scharenberg
Size: 186cm/80kg
Position: Midfield
Plays Like: Matt Priddis
Scharenberg is one of the best clearance players in the draft, perhaps the best. In tight, he has exceptionally clean hands, great awareness and vision as well as an excellent handpass that can release an outside runner.
What he does better than most, is use his strength to stand up in a tackle, while lifting his arms – draws opposition players to him, allowing him to handpass to a player in space, something only the best clearance players in the AFL do. He has played senior SANFL footy, collecting 28 possessions in a game against grand finalists Woodville-West Torrens.
He also stood up in the big games, standing out as one of the best in the Glenelg reserves’ grand final loss, recording 27 touches and 5 clearances. Scharenberg was also awarded best on ground in the Under 18’s grand final after collecting 34 possessions and 12 tackles. However, his main limitation is his poor kicking skills. He often detracts from his good work with a poor kick – something that will need to rectified at AFL level.

Sam Walker
Size: 187cm/80kg
Position: Half-back
Plays Like: Andrew Mackie
Walker is an extremely reliable defender who can lock down on both tall and small opponents as well as provide rebound from defence. Running off half-back, he has an excellent left foot which can hit a long target. He has clean hands at ground level and moves through traffic well, where his composure is outstanding. Walker reads the flight of the ball exceptionally well and has the ability to take a strong intercept mark. At his height, with his clean skills and ability to lock down on a variety of forwards, Walker is reminiscent of Geelong half-back Andrew Mackie.

Jack Maibaum
Size: 193cm/90kg
Position: Key Defender
Plays Like: Alex Rance

Maibaum is ready-made defender...is an extremely task-oriented defender who rarely gets beaten. He is extremely good one-on-one in the air and on the ground and featured in the All-Australian team for the National Carnival, as well as the TAC Cup Team Of The Year. He reads the play exceptionally well and is a good intercept player. Maibaum is very reliable with ball in hand and rarely turns it over.

You have Sproule at 21 in your power rankings last month?

Sorry didn't mean at 27. BPA all day with that pick but a defender can be found late in the draft. We should be looking to find one. Don't need to use a 1st rounder on one next year. I would leave the KPF's for next year.

Agree with you on Cox. What about Mitch Mccarthy with a later pick?

Don't be sorry mate, eh

That's probably a question more for Bishop and richoatthedisco I like what I read but I’ve never seen him play.

You rate him at where?Why?Thanks

I have him rated in the 30s- But that's due to only seeing him play a few games. Know others have him higher from watching him more.

Need to update them, have him in the 30s. Will be drafted 50+ from what I'm lead to believe.

Like Mitch as a later pick. Can play anywhere. Injury question marks though, but very raw. I think he could play as a CHB at AFL level.

Should be higher or lower?

Will be in the ballpark 15-30.

The club needs to be in 2MPs ear right now and bring him back to Vic with one of those picks.

I'd be very disappointed if we weren't.

What is McCarthy's intensity like? Does he go hard? I'm sick of KPP's who have no heart. And for that matter Tyler Keitel? From what I've heard has had a damn good year in the WAFL. I think he is definitely worth a pick late/rookie and could be a solid KPD at AFL level at the least.

I'm with you and I've watched him play a fair bit. His main advantage will be his ability to walk straight into a team bc of a VFL mature body. Does have a shoulder reco to get over.
I don't know how much improvement he has left in him .
