g'day Giants fans; just wondering when do you reckon Marchbank will nominate a club of choice? Will it be before or after you are out of the finals series?
Cheers.

I'll tell you but you have to give me the Powerball numbers for tomorrow night. Also who is Richie going to pick? I have $50 riding on the Ukrainian bird??

Give me the mail and I will spill the beans on Marchbank.

Since you responded in good spirit the word on the street is Carlton however it is not straight forward as a few of the teams that are into him have very early draft picks and are reluctant to lose them.

Collingwood are really into him and apparently Essendon and St Kilda. If I was North I would happily part with the first rounder as he is a serious talent who has just been unlucky with injuries. He will walk into your best team.

I was panicking initially at the thought of losing him but realistically we have good cover and also have Himmelberg and possibly Macreadie coming in.

I know he is as unreliable as most but Tom Browne reckons we are leading the race for him.
Kid looks a gun but not sure where he fits in for us and what would be a fair trade for him

You know when you're going against Hawthorn you're fighting a lost cause.
In saying that I read that Marchbank played juniors as forward?
Possible to make the switch like Josh Bruce did?

Not entirely sure what you mean by Bruce making a switch. He always played both ends of the ground for us. Think his first kick in the AFL was a goal (might have been his second) I remember one game in 2011 when he didn't move from the Eastern Road end of the ground at BISP. Played the 1st and 3rd as a forward and the 2nd and 4th as a defender.

When he went to St Kilda it was as a swing man. That he no longer plays any footy down back isn't exactly a switch because he always played some up forward anyway.

Marchbank on the other hand, I'm not sure of. Was recruited as a defender and only ever played there. Can he make the switch? Who knows - reads the flight of the ball really well, and while he does take marks, he's more likely to get golden fist votes for his spoiling - not sure how useful that is up front. It would have to be a full-on switch. Would be interesting to see to be honest.

Popular theory on the Carlton board is #5 is too much, and #23 probably won't get it done.

I'd agree with that.

There aren't any players on your list I want so you'll probably have to trade someone somewhere else to get an acceptable pick.

Can someone with trade imagination come up with one of the most complicated 5 club 3 player 6 pick combination they can think of to make us all laugh? Please?:p

Marchbank/Steele/Stewart for Carlton's 2nd round selection in 2016 (Pick 23) and 1st round selection in 2017 (Pick 7ish)
