Zac's doing a bit of press over the preseason I see. Must have been told to grow up, deal with the brain fades and show some leadership down back given Luke's retirement. Hope it works as we need all hands on deck and some stability down there. Already looks tricky with A.Pearce not out there and Johnno running laps a lot.

How do get to your comments from that article ? Brain fades and growing up are not anywhere in that article so far as I can see.

So Zac's been told to "grow up" and "show some leadership down back"? Really? That's nice. So Freo's radical transformation since 2012 into one of the best defences in the League just sort of happened? Had nothing to do with Dawson's input down back?

Then 25, Dawson was flung in to an unfamiliar leadership role as Lyon set about redefining the Dockers.

Dawson said it was uncomfortable at first - especially feeling as if he was treading on the toes of experienced defenders such as Luke McPharlin and Michael Johnson - but the role would ultimately be beneficial for both he and his new teammates.

"It was definitely more of an involved role because I'd been under Ross' guidance for three years," Dawson said.

"Obviously we both arrived at the same time and he was there to really steer the club in a totally different direction. He really needed my help to kind of get it through to the players, probably more so the backline.

"I'd been used to taking more of a back seat, but it really helped me come out of my shell early and it got me involved with the group which really helped. To be confident in what I was saying helped as well because I knew exactly what he needed.

"It's been a constant thing for me since I've arrived and I'm still helping the guys out whenever I can. I wouldn't call myself an assistant coach, but I definitely do what I can do."

One of Zac's many virtues is his ability to bring out the condescending twat in people who need to "grow up". One way of doing that is to stop using that irritating phrase - unless you're talking about yourself.

So I'm assuming that you don't rate Ballas, Fyfe or Pav as leaders in the group because of their brain-fades?

I think you are letting your personal dislike of Zac cloud your memory - apart from the stupid whack on Cameron last year I think he has been (relatively) free of suspensions. Certainly not in the class of Balls, Cowley or Fyfe. I suspect Pav may have more suspensions than Zac, but not sure where to look that up.

No, your original point was a snide attack on one of our players. The comment had nothing to do with the content of the article. This is one media article, and he has done media before. So you are drawing conclusions that suit your agenda. Which is personal.

It's on a Facebook posting and its Ross's turn as one of the AFL team Head Coaches to answer questions and some ferals have put up all these shitty questions and I have got stuck into a couple of them. Best you can say that the questions are disgusting from Tiny minded people who obviously have gripes from how he left St Kilda and that he will never win a premiership and carried on about game style and which club is he going to rip off next. Lovely stuff from Ferals who are worse than those Country Boys in the Deliverance movie and your of the right Vintage to remember that movie.

The official AFL page on Facebook has a Q&A comment section (for Ross to answer at 1PM AEDT tomorrow) and all the questions asked are pure trash, there is literally nothing that Ross could possibly answer with a genuine response.
Just bashing our team for being old, bashing Ross, Bashing the defensive gameplan, Bashing Zac etc and all these comments are being "liked" to the top, you would think that the AFL would monitor the questions and delete the trolling ones so Ross can actually answer some decent questions.
