What's the situation with Tom Mitchell? Having an incredible year but still not signed up with Sydney. I imagine Carlton and Essendon would be your typical clubs interested. What would it take? Blues' first rounder (6-10)?

Sydney fans, your midfield is loaded with more young guns pushing in. Would you be prepared to sacrifice one of your gun mids for a pick (or player) that would improve your limited forward line or ageing defence?

If I'm Essendon I'm looking to trade Hurley for Mitchell.

Although Neale could be at the Bombers too.

Thank God you're not Essendon then.

Hmm I might see it differently but I think Hooker, Hartley and Francis could be a really nice defensive setup and could cover the loss of Hurley.

Mitchell is/will be an A grade midfielder and I only really mentioned Hurley with the swans cause their has been rumour that the swans are keen on him.

Hooker will likely be our FF for the next few years. Hurley is our most important player behind him, losing him would be disastrous.

Hasn't Mitchell rejected the temptation to return to Victoria previously when he was in and out of the Swans side? Can't see him leaving now he's consolidated a spot and Sydney look to be heading towards a premiership.

Ok if you guys plan on playing Hooker forward then I agree keep Hurley.

Irrespective of who or what you would give up a lot of Victorian teams would be willing to trade a premium for him.

He's out of contract at seasons end so who knows.

Less likely to leave Sydney than Jarrad McVeigh.

Let me put it bluntly there is more chance of you winning Lotto than us trading with Collingwood much especially after Eddie's crusade against us over the last few years! Would rather trade with another Melbourne club if it came to that. Carlton's first would be the minimum, and would probably get it done, St Kilda's first probably would too. Mitchell for Hurley would be around the ball park too, with a late pick swap ideally (although not critical).

Just curious to see what people would give up for touhy? playing good footy and was in the AFL coaches team of the year last year. 26 years old so would say hitting his peak over the next 3 years.

Worth more to Carlton than what you would get.

Need trade bait and have very little. Have doc and bryne coming through with a few younger running backman. Can see someone like gibbs going there at the end of his career too.

Look to answer your question, a mid 2nd possibly but it wouldn't be a priority trade for anyone. You probably don't need to trade much this year, use your first to target Marchbank & Tomlinson (with maybe your 2017 2nd rounder thrown in). You are building nicely you don't need to trade that much.

That's nice dear but there was not a single time I mentioned my club at all in that post whatsoever and my estimated interest in him is 0. Thanks anyway

Probably not but you are not going to get a decent pick back. Might be some steak knives thrown in or a 3rd rounder but that's about it

Nah disagree, If Freo had their 2nd still then Pick 1 for Neale and 20 would get done quite easily IMO.

Pick 1 and 2 would absolutely land them Hogan if he wanted out, Melbourne wouldn't receive a better offer I don't think.
