Would like to know posters opinion of this years trade period.

I would give us a conservative B plus

Easily our best trade ever as we gave filled some needs and brought in 4 players with plenty of upside without selling the farm.

What are other posters grades and opinions?

B + for our best trade ever. Low ball grade by a teacher. Sounds about right.:D

A

Quite easily an A from me. 2 clear best 22 players in areas of need. 2 borderline best 22 players who are young with potential to improve (some will put Hamling in the former category which is very much justified). Still have a top-10 pick.

Exactly what I wanted. We now have 5 (6 if you include Johnson KPDs), 4 KPFs and quality inside and outside mids. Only position that's a little weak is the ruck outside of Sandi.

That's exactly what I wanted before the window opened and we managed to get it for less than expected

: “They were best on ground for me. It was a very impressive performance over the last couple of weeks. It’s always a difficult juggling exercise to make your coach happy and to make your recruiters happy. They’ve really addressed some genuine needs. What I really like on top of those players is they’ve been able to get Picks 7, 35 and 40 — which are all very usable picks.”
Grade: 9/10

If we got draft picks for a few players like Barlow, Suban then it would have been a 10. Only a 9 for me.
I want Barlow to stay. Suban is meh but depth is depth I guess and he will play at times next season.

We addressed two major needs and got some cream in the midfield.

2017 .... strap yourself in and enjoy the ride.

Barlow and Clarke to stay. 9/10 for me.

Would have been 10/10 if we worked Hawks over for a sweetener in addition to 23 and managed a slight upgrade on pick 71 with Silvani. With the two aforementioned possibilities we may have ended up with our fourth pick at 58-65. Also the return from GCS with a future 3rd round instead of 4th round would have been handy.

But again I'm knit-picking. Great trade period and near perfect at 9/10.

Pretty happy trade for me , smart move to get back 35 , i will give it an A just because of that . Next year tall even is good need time to develop.

Filled some pretty important holes with mid-tier to good players with development left in them, in the age group we were lacking in... all without compromising our draft position!

With Ross himself back to cracking the whip next year...

Pretty good period. Bhill and McCarthy will fit in nicely
Hamling and Kersten are fringe players in their old sides and have previously been overlooked at times. Lets not get too excited to finally getting some KPPs in but they are worth the risk! WA talents, plus good friends. However they're no Bonafide A graders.
Trading future second round pick again was important for us to get another pick inside top40.

Overall B+
