If my sums are right (bearing in mind that in rd 5 2015 Rocky got knocked out on 0 in the first quarter, I think, so probably 10 rather than 11?, and Rocky's average in those 10 comes to 94), I get:
View attachment 320892

Might have done something wrong with the formulas, but I think it's more than 6 games either way (2016 R7, 2015 R18, R16, R15, R4-9, R1?)
Apologies in advance if I got it wrong.

EDIT: Re-read Big Sauce's post more carefully, the 6 games are those where they were both 'right'. Sorry.

Either way its one or the other.
I like Beams at his discounted price.
Rocky just reminds me of the morning after curry night.

History shows that players having their first year at a new club increase their output by a big margin more often than not.

TMitch is the perfect candidate. 4th string at Sydney to number 1 at Hawks. More responsibility, more points. One of the first picked for mine.
Clarko might give him the taggers job!

Tag or not with Hodge Hill and Lewis gone there's a big juicy SC pool of points for him to dip in. That's what makes him an interesting pick.
But I agree he will either average the same as he always has or he will go 115 for the year which makes him cheap.

My thoughts on this are torn at the moment. TMitch might find without the silk around him he won't find the ball as much and therefore maintain his average at best, as he is not known to be a dedicated in and under player.

& I hear the comments that there are more points to go around, but, I sort of disagree, in that, Hawks should drop off a bit more this year, which naturally means less points anyway.

BUt the flip side is, because he is not a damaging player like a Pendles or Danger, being more like an accumulator like a Rocky, the tag might not go to him and it might make it easier to rack up a 110+ average.

Plus he looks weird in a hawks jumper. I'd be happy to wait and see and jump on if he springs out of the blocks.

Without the silk around him?

He joined the Hawks, not some 3rd teir wafl team.

Their midfield aint so silky no more. Other than JOM and their rotations like Hodge and Burgoyne it's not great.

McAvoy
TMitch
JOM
Shiels

Tippett
JPK
Hannebury
Parker

Its a Mitchell in a Hawks jumper. 30 plus possies every game, bankable. + he kicks the ball, and goals. and tackles.
No-one has ever questioned Mitchell's SC ability-even when he was tagging he was scoring pretty well.(lingesque)
Given that he will now be number one at a decent team I predict 110 for the season with no sweat. It could be so much more though given how unbelievably piggly he gets if given half a sniff by the coach. Clarkson is going to be demanding full maximum pigness, and it could be something truly beautiful to anyone who starts him.

Damn. I just talked myself into picking him. I hate picking hawks.

From a SC tweet...

DUSTY WARNING

Tigers assistant coach Justin Leppitsch has stated that Dustin Martin will be spending more time forward in 2017 due to there now being more midfield depth.

Becomes a full time mid, comes 3rd in the Brownlow and they want to move him out of there.
It's the send Deledio to the back flank even though he's an AA forward brainstrust at work again.

It's Richmond mate. I feel for you buggers.
Another year of being irrelevant for you guys.

Sooner they over throw the board and sack every single old bastard leech with his head up his arse the better.
The CEO is a ****in yank for ****s sake. WTF would she know about the inner workings of a footy club.

New board. News ideas. New selection panel. All new coaches. Then and only then will shit start turning around.

At least they got rid of Vickery. :pensive:

Rocky looks in good nick, like he has trimmed down a bit (at least the couple of photos I have seen). Could be positive in terms of injury risk, and he is a proven scorer. But not planning on running with him either.

You scoundrel.

Is anyone going to start with Rocky?
Its a trade saver really, as he is guaranteed to do two things.
A) average something silly like 130
B) pick up three 4 week injuries.

At least if you start him you can just bung him on the bench for the inevitable missed games.
Whereas if you don't start him your going to get sucked in, chase points, rage trade, then watch him pig out after you traded him in for some plank who sucks twice as hard.
In the last 3 seasons he has cost me 9 trades, and this year i'm just going to start him and never trade him, even if he gets cut in half with a chainsaw. Even half a rocky can ton up on a good day, and sfa players can do that.
