Nick Duigan ... great bloke, top shelf. Should have clocked a few Richmond players while kicking 4 in that EF. Would have been right to play the following week, on grounds of not just being a good bloke, but a great bloke. So great, in fact, that the Tribunal would not only have dismissed the case - they would have offered an apology for wasting his time and extended a future discount should he wish to maim someone on the field later on. Don't you love the good bloke defence?
and afl funded subways for life........touche tushay.........

I am not racist but if the perpetrator had been a "run of the mill" player neither of the "good bloke" advocates would have been involved.....probably sounds like an oxy moron but for me these people running around making "special" considerations for certain players highlights racism more than if everyone was just given the same treatment.

Elbow to the head way off the ball, knocking your oponent out 10 min into the game where he can take no further part, is apparently ok as long as you are a good bloke and have high profile mates.

Congrats AFL.

Shining example to the rest of society.

The AFL should allow the umpires to send players off in these circumstances. Due to no fault of the club and player, we were one man down for pretty much the entire game. No matter what Dimma said after the game, it certainly had an impact.

We seem to be missing the point re "good bloke" discount.
Violence should not be tolerated in society and definitely not on a football field no matter what sort/type of person you are. It is the "act of violence" which needs to be condemned and punished so hopefully others watching can see that the "act of violence" will not be tolerated. Joel Selwood's elbow to the back of Mitchell's head should have been a suspension, jumper punches, stomach punches should all be an immediate week to show junior players that this sort of behaviour is unacceptable.

We should get Armfield back for a game to just belt campaigners, he'd get off on the good bloke defence for sure

The AFL appear to be taking a much stricter approach to these types of incidents, especially this year. How long do you reckon until we see yellow and red cards come in like in the junior games?

I knew the AFL would, they wouldn't have been able to continue their campaign against violence in the game without appealing.

Now I'm off to observe the melt down on the tiggies board. I promise not to fan the flames ;)
Theyre carrying on like theyre the victims over there mate... they have no regard for Lamb what so ever. Go hard (within reason)...I've got you covered.

Here is a far better video of the incident, which basically puts to the bed the delusional Richmond supporters' arguments.
Apologies if it has already been posted, I have only just seen it.
Is it just me, or is there barely a "hold" by Lamb there at all?
