Any reports from those that saw it. I heard they only played 3 quarters? Scheer, Brodie, Scrimshaw, Lonergan, Fiorini, Harbs?
Yeah only played the 3 quarters, very sloppy game the only stand outs for me were the Twins Scheer and Brodie just all class great disposals and both are contested ball Bulls, Trent McKenzie was good, Lonergan played a very good game looks very fit, Fiorini did stuff all, Jarrod 'The Turn Over King' Harbrow Was terrible wtf has happened to him over the past 2 years

I thought Harbrow was excellent last year. Disappointing to hear he didn't play well yesterday though.

Yep pretty much. Nicolls was bad as was Curry. Witts will be our ruck for most of the season unless those two dont improve. Was Leslie injured? Didnt see him playing.

Scheer also outshone Brodie bit a fair margin i thought, he must be next in line.

Gr8 to hear (see) they both played well and made an impression but they are so far from being twins, (height at the very least), the comparison might be that they are both attack/inside players and keep giving. Which is pretty much why I like Higgins in the '17 draft.

I want Mac back to his best, could totally b a weapon. Always been on Jesse's side and sad to see what you thought of Harbs, he is 1 of the foundation for mine. We do need options in small/mid defence which is why Joyce (whom many of you slammed) got a game and our future defensive mids are being played in that position.

Who's slamming Joyce? name names because I haven't seen it.

If you meant Lemmens then that's a different story...

Yep Scheer the standout for me. So hard to tell him and Brodie apart though haha
SO MUCH THIS! I had a hard time telling them apart.

I was also really impressed with Scrim. He has far more definition and mass than I was expecting him to have. Both he and Scheer are much closer to selection than I thought they would be at this stage.

Disagree on Harbs. I thought he was good. Didn't see many turnovers from him at all really. Certainly no scrubbers. A few of his passers into the corridor were bang on and split the game wide open on the offensive.

For a guy who would apparently needs a fair amount of time in the gym to get an AFL ready body for his position, Scrimshaw is a fair unit already. Was watching the backs walking out together and he was not that much shorter than Leslie and looked like he had Brooksby (the guy who played in the ruck for us last year) covered, and he appears to be filling out already. Looks like a completely different person to the lanky kid with braces who rocked up in November. I was impressed.

Hey guys, Sorry for the intrusion. Is Keegan Brooksby any chance of being elevated off the rookie list this season?

Yes, with our luck with injuries, expect Dean Solomon and Rocket Eade to be lacing up the boots by round 9

Edit*

Dan Gorringe would still not get a game

Seems that the posts I was referring to from last year have disappeared. I supported him btw ;)

Some positives but overall so disappointing. The 4 points were right there, need 3-5 players back.

Ahh Saad is injured, yet again.. no doubt we would all like to see him exploding off the back line.

Jesse Joyce has been ok for a guy recruited as rookie (correct me if I'm wrong) and only playing his 2nd game. More experienced players than he is have been much worse.
