Just hope winning a wafl premiership somehow helps us in the afl. Don't think it will it just taints an already struggling league sad really.

Rubbish. Did you see the improvement in Blakeley, Weller, Langdon (pre-injury). Subiaco were fierce. The youngsters being forged in a hot furnace will do wonders for them.

Right on. Blakely winning The Simpson medal in last yr's GF enabled him to take his game to a new level. Likewise Luke Ryan in 2018. Similarly Logie, Nyhuis (has owned Liam Ryan in twomGF's now), Darcey dominated the hitouts, Brennan & Duman.

Also maybe Sutcliffe and Sheridan can become sound AFL players after experiencing GF success at WAFL level - only time will tell

Also back in 2004 two youngsters in Mundy & Crowley played in Subi prem side. The rest is history.

Kyle Horsley very gracious I thought and made it known to the powers that be not to stuff around with things too much . Being ex AFL cut short by injury he would know what it means for anyone aspiring to get on an AFL list. One thing that does not seem to get mentioned, I would have thought any Subi players or any other for that matter playing in a final against a fair number of afl players that they would be rapt at the opportunity to do well and maybe get drafted.

I was impressed with Litherland. Is still quite quick and a good defender.

Also as a side note, Nick Suban won a flag with Claremont in 2012 against East Fremantle who had Jon Griffin, Sam Menegola and Cam Sutcliffe playing in the same team. Jon Griffin was epic in that game.

If Sheridan can pull his head in, knuckle down and get to work he might be worth hanging onto. His career has been going backwards since that dropped mark in the 2015 Hawks final. We will get bugger all for him.

As for Sutcliffe I think he needs to go for his own benefit. Either back to Adelaide or perhaps GCS, who were reportedly interested in listing him back in 2010 the year before we drafted him.

I was at the game and it was a beauty . Very hard physical game between two evenly match teams . Subi had more shots on goal but were very inaccurate . Sean Darcy dominated in the ruck but Subi won more clearances from stoppages . Ryan was clearly Peels best and deserved the Simpson Medal . Dawson broke his ankle in the first quarter and Josh Deluca coped a corkie but played on after he got treatment .I spoke to the doctor after the game and he was very impress with how he willed himself back onto the ground . Hats off to him .
Nyhuis , Collins and Ryan shut down Liam Ryan all day and kept him scoreless . Duman played his best game for the year . Rory Obrien was the best of the Peel players , Traye Bennell and Bell not far behind . No passengers out there today, team effort . Sokol was Subi's only effective forward . He is a fantastic set shot for goal from just inside 50 as well from outside 50 . He's only 22 YRS and a former SF reserves player 186cm 85 kg .Could be worth rookie listing . Just to let everyone know Silver was at the game catching up with ex team mates .

I really think Sheridan in particular needs to change clubs. A good swap for Matera. Sutcliffe is a good depth player but I feel most of the younger guys are rapidly overtaking him too

I think Griff kicked four goals in a best on ground game, it was where my mind went when thinking of what could have been.

He ruptured his ACL the next season

Zac Dawson kicked the first goal of the game and then could have kicked the second one 2 minutes later, but gave it off instead. Then he did his ankle straight after which saw Peel with a man down for the game just five minutes into the first quarter.

He was B.O.G until that point.

Deluca copped a nasty corky and was on one leg for three quarters of the game and Ibbo looked very sore out there.

Subiaco were killing them in the middle and should have won the game, but hats off to Peel for such a gutsy win. It's a shame that people will only focus on the alignment players winning a flag, however 15 of Subiaco's players out there yesterday were imported players from other clubs.

Kim Hagdorn said on Saturday that their highest paid player is on $35,000 a season, but refused to name him.

Interesting that Subi named Lockyer as their best player for the job he did on Tabs and yet Peel named Tabs as their 4th best. A bit at odds?
They might rate Taberner as the most damaging player on the ground when he can do what he likes.

He tore them a new one last time they played.

Collins was another who was battling to move in the last but the way the defence held together with both him and Ibbo struggling was amazing. They did get plenty of help from up the field which is testament to the team effort. I didn't like Pearces game at all until the last where he was one the really stepped up and got back and worked hard to defend.

Watching the highlights again , Deluca non prefer right foot goal was crucial. I think he struggle a bit with confident after his injury. Litherland was ok after Dawson go down playing the spare men .

I love Duman and think he'll make it but I was disappointed in his game yesterday. I don't think he quite handled the step up in intensity but he'll learn a lot from it but he's a long way off.
He got caught out a few times especially ball in hand, but he didn't go back into his shell like a lot of players would have, I think he has the right mentality at least
