Not sure how that trade would work unless the future pick we're giving up is our first rounder next year.

Bulldogs could be certain that the guy they want with their first rounder will still be around at pick 13.

Like us with Sheed a few years back.

Maybe but they're giving up a lot this year in that deal. They move back four spots in the first round AND give us two picks in the second. They'll be wanting something decent for 2018.

Interestingly according to the draft calculator the difference in points is equivalent to about pick 8. Meaning if we threw our 2018 first rounder in it'd roughly balance out, with us slightly ahead if we make finals next year.

That'd give us 9, 25, 30, 32, 50 and 68 this year but nothing before about 30 (depending on where we finish) next year.

Not sure how we could upgrade 13 to 9 and get two second rounders, like Fivey said, without giving up next years first. That shouldn't be an option.

It said a swap of future draft picks, so we're also getting a 2018 pick back too.

It's essentially pick 13 + 2018 ??? = 2018 ???, picks 9, 25 and 30.

Those question marks make this an impossible trade to grade.

Not sure why we'd give up next years first and 13 this year for 9, 25 and 30. It would have to be something to do with next years second

Probably our second for their third or even fourth.

In any case a top 10 draft pick would be worth that.

If they're giving us 9 and 2 2nds without us coughing up next year's first, Rawlings is a god.

Maybe we're swapping firsts next year...with our expected tumble they may be gambling on finishing alot higher than us.

Still not doing enough this trade week...

Dont want any deal involving draft picks. No way.shluld we give up our first.and no way should we miss with our first next year as we are possibly rebuilding and may slide down next year.

Be just stupid. We have nothing to do with the stringer situation so screw them. Keep our picks and play it safe if their is no establish players coming our way. Dont mess with draft picks.

If it's our second for their fourth next year then we come out far better.

And it looks like this, assuming we finish 10th and they finish 6th:

9, 25, 30 and 67(2018)

for

13 and 27(2018)

That's heavily in our favour.

If it involves our first for their second:

9, 25, 30 and 31(2018)

for

13 and 9(2018)

Then it looks much more even.

Stop being so dramatic. We're improving on this years first and we're not giving up next years first in the trade mentioned

1) 13 + WCE 2018 R1 = 9, 25, 30, WBD 2018 R2
2) 13 + WCE 2018 R2 = 9, 25, 30, WBD 2018 R3

Option 2 I could handle, leaving us with 9/25/30/32/50 this year and WCE R1/WBD R3/HAW R4/WCE R4 next year.

But as others have said, don't really want to give up next year's R1.

Let's get it done Brady. 2017 Top 10 & retain 2018 R1.
