Seriously Port won't pick up Lindsay Thomas that would be absolutely ridiculous

The guy is a shocker

They have to, they have no depth. 6 players out, all capable of playing with only 3 in.

It’s funny, I read on their board they reckon our SANFL has no depth, which it hasn’t when we have injuries. But with their clean out, theirs is worse.

Bookmark it? Pretty sure they will - perfect for their they type of player they look for. Can you imagine Gray, Whingegard and Thomas all in the fwd line. The forward 50 will be renamed 'The Reef'

Something else that would generate some interesting discussion.

Another poster on here said he had a little birdy who is well connected, and said that we were into Shaun Burgoyne. We were trying to bring him over in a deal similar to Sam Mitchell’s where he played for a year or two, and then moved into a coaching role.

And he said yes too! Had agreed to it all personally, it’s just that hawthorn said no Frustrating to say the least, would have been a huge coup! Do we maybe think that’s what pick 39 was for, to use in a trade?

It’s not gospel and 100% confirmed, but upon hearing this, something tells me that Puopolo wasn’t our actual target, and was maybe the media being led astray?

Anyways, I hope that we are still in his ear about becoming a coach regardless. Couldn’t think of anyone better to teach the young ones great technique and composure.

Agree. MacKenzie for me. Has a weapon. Sure not as flexible but I think he has been on the outer with Eade rather than not being good enough

McKenzie no way - hasnt got near the Suns team for a long time. He isnt the Cannon anymore

The only DFA's worth a look are Mitch Honeychurch - I hope we get him good pressure small forward, or possibly Hartung with his outside speed. Both have played some good footy over the past two years

Gee, unfortunate alias you have...

Anyway, I don't think he isnout of the team fornhis performances, rather the coach doesn't like him. Probably end up at port

Heard the exact same thing.

Any take home messages from this?
Re Crows: even Scott Lucas has no idea about us. Zero mention of stocking up on 2018 picks which IMO was a huge win.
It's not often, if ever, we pick up a DFA in the Draft.
We wouldn’t need to. DFA can be picked up outside the draft.
