Perhaps you are spending too much looking for excuses why people are unhappy with the Suns performance.
Watching yesterday and then listening to what the TV commentators had to say it was just embarrassing.
Even the good and experienced Suns players were butchering their chances. A year of going backward!
If you're 12 or 8 you can be embarrassed
But if you're older than 18 with half an idea about football and you have any understanding about what's going on at a football level then your comment is imbecilic
It's not pretty but we are the worst team in the comp at the moment for a number of reasons not all readily controllable- and we played the best team whose modus operandi is ultimate pressure on the ball carrier followed by a dynamic spread at the ensuing turnover
Richmond had close to their best 18 on the paddock yesterday
They will likely win another premiership
Even with our best 18 we're probably nowhere near them
It makes me sad after 10 years of seemingly going nowhere-but that's the reality
To blame Dew for poor disposal and bad decision-making under pressure from the best team going round is childish
You can sit with my kids next match if you like-sounds like you have a lot in common

Well, naturally you would do your best to disguise it, eh? I thought it was interesting that you both told me I was 'becoming tiresome' at different times on different threads.

But you're right though, I've worn out my welcome. Each time I post I swear it'll be my last. Cheers.

You do realize that Barlow is the only fit inside midfielder left to select now that Brodie is out. Scrimshaw could fill the role, but then who would replace Hanley?

Guys seriously its not all doom & gloom and i think you guys really need to see the forest from the tree's
Going back only 2 years ago Brisbane looked like a basket case and with a few mature players , New coach and some new talented kids in the team all of a sudden they are threatening top clubs and nobody can call them easy beats or go into games thinking percentage boost.

Gold Coast have 15-20 top end talent that will have another year of development and maturity as well as another year under Dew's game plan as well as a couple of new assistants coming into the club for a fresh out look and excitment.

Add to that another 4 top 20 kids plus a couple of mature recruits and all of a sudden you are where Brisbane are at, I have always thought that Lynch will go to collingwood and still do but wouldnt be unhappy if somehow he selects richmond but putting that aside you guys will get good players coming into the team and will improve next year so there is alot to be excited about. Gold Coast are in alot better position to where richmond was at just 5 years ago and no where near the talent on the list.

Have faith it will happen

Get mature age like Nathan Broad in the state league , some pick 40 + like Graham (Richmond ) and rough diamond like Jayden Short in rookie draft ummm not too bad .

There are a few at other clubs also

Exactly just need to get some players that are slightly older to give the kids some competition for spots and role models during the week as well as keeping the team competitive but it will happen

I think you guys have a good coach and the administration is better as well as the facilities , Only way is up

Where do you guys see scrimshaw at?

I realise he's under contract, but i wonder if he's going to ask out at seasons end.

one could easily argue he's not yet ready for AFL football due to his lack of endurance, but he played 4 games last yr and 0 this year. And you have been decimated with injuries and he still hasn't got a look in.

Wrong... 29 disposals 10 tackles 2 goals says other options exist.

I was being sarcastic. As if Barlow and Scrimshaw will get picked! More likely Scheer, Schoenfeld and/or Dawson. Not really sure why both Barlow and Scrimshaw missed the NEAFL. Possibly stuff behind closed doors. Not the first time Barlow has been a mysterious late scratching, usually followed by a huge loss for Suns2.

Barlow parent illness, Scrimshaw was emergency.

Your clone will do it. I predict Barlow will be delisted and will end up with Southport Sharks with his buddy Davis.
See who get it right , I said Barlow will end up in Victoria to take care of his parents.

We were one of the few interested clubs in Menzel last year but he turned us down.

No-one is going to offer him 4 years. I'm surprised the Saints are offering him two.

It was more tongue on cheek we offer him 4, just stating if anyone is silly enough.
It would be us!

Can turn games on its heads though!

Absolutely and I agree! I'm happy we at least approached him. But hard to get him in when he doesn't want to visit.
