Sorry for the question but you guys might be more aware of the answer...

Does the "S" in SM3 or SQ3 refer to standing area at the back of M3/Q3?
I think it means section as there is no standing on level Q

Hey everyone,

A good mate of mine has 2 fully paid tickets for the AFL Grand Final in a private box with all food and refreshments included.

Unfortunately, he didn't realise when he bought them that it is on the same day as his wedding, so he can't go.

If you're interested and want to go instead of him, it is at 2pm at St Paul’s Catholic Church, Coburg and her name is Julie.

I really hope to god then it pours cos I am feeling most aggrieved at the moment at paying so much for tickets and other people who have paid much less get far far better tickets. Would’ve thought the club would’ve at least pretended to be concerned about their members but clearly I was wearing some rose-coloured psychedelic tripping shades thinking that was the case grrr

Much as it pains me dammit I’m cancelling this legendsmembership now, what’s the point I’m getting no more benefit for the grand or so a year BY FOUR than we’re getting with our gold AFL ones, I’d rather save the money and use it to sponsor a player instead, the club obviously don’t value the past 15 years of my custom
Understand the frustration, but it's not the club that selects the seats for each category of member - it's Ticketek. Can't see what the club can realistically do...

Those are great seats and you're extremely lucky, but I also think this is the fallacy of the ticketing system.

I understand there's a small obstruction in M33 because of the cheersquad and them waving flags at certain times, but how is M33 category 7, but Q49 and Q50 (nosebleed area) are category 4 and cost heaps more?
It definitely is riduculous but I'm not complaining!

Truth be told I love watching footy from the front half of Q49 and Q50 and even Q51, and Q52. Its what I always aim for when I'm going to games as a GA ticket holder. In terms of a pure footy watching experience it is far superior to level 1 Ponsford experience in regards to tactics and watching the play unfold.

But you just can't beat the atmosphere of Level 1 Ponsford. And that's why I koved me reserved seat to Level 1 Ponsford. I'm happy to have to watch some parts of the big screen in order to get the proper experience of being part of the Magpie Army

It appears as though only 80 odd people missed out from the ballot, meaning that only around 6% of our members actually entered it which is quite astonishing.
Unfortunately for me I was not eligible for the ballot as I am an AFL Silver member who had no chance of getting AFL section seats, as there weren't even enough for AFL Gold members.
I consider myself a Collingwood member so I was disappointed that I could not enter the ballot, even as Priority 3.
I was able to get Preliminary Final seats on Friday through my Collingwood club membership.
Also able to get tickets to the Grand Final Replay in 2010, through my Collingwood membership.
Sometimes a member and sometimes not?!?!

I’m reading through my confirmation email about ticket collection and it says you need your TICKETEK account number. I can’t find it anywhere in the email.

Anyone know where you access this?

TIA

Have you ordered from Ticketek before?

Have you ordered from Ticketek before?
Yes numerous times and it usually has a confirmation number with the email. This one doesn’t.

I signed into My TICKETEK account and looked under the ‘Order History’ tab and it also confirms the details of my tickets. There’s a 4 digit transaction number so I’m assuming that that’s it?

Just seems odd because confirmation numbers are usually longer and found in the email.

Without directly answering your question...

When I bought a ticket to the Hawthorn v West Coast GF in 2015 I just turned up with the credit card I used to purchase the ticket at an outlet and it was in my hand within 30 seconds.

It's ridiculous AFL members used to be treated the same as GA members of the club, after all the club get similar $ as a GA member who buys directly through the club.

Seems silly to me.

Yeah I’ve picked up tickets at the mcg box office with just my name in the past. I don’t expect any issues but I’d just like to know what acc number they’re referring to

If you look for past emails from orders at Ticketek, it should be there

Bit of interesting info for anyone after a ticket

Got told by an Eagles member in the family that plenty have purchased tickets but are unable to get flights.

Apparently, any who were in this predicament have until 7pm to return them and they will be re sold this week

What do you mean there’s nothing the club can do, does everybody think we some little minnow club or something that when we squeak nobody hears us? We are an MCG-tenant club, and one that the MCC makes a hell of a lot of money out of (I’ll direct this rant at them seeing as though Ticketek is their mandated contractor everyone has to use under their contractual arrangements). We are Collingwood, arguably the biggest football club in the country and thus commensurately charge one of the highest price memberships, no issue there. What I do have a problem with is if a third-party supplier through their actions negatively impacts the perceived value and satisfaction of my customers who have engaged me to provide a service for a premium price I would be jumping up and down and doing whatever I could to fix it, if it was something that was somehow my fault because I had not applied the level of detail or attention required then I’d do whatever it took to fix that up, or even if it wasn’t it wouldn’t matter as that customers arrangement was made with me not the third party supplier essentially so you’d still do your best to right the grievance as is your obligation to your paying customer. Not this whole “sorry bad luck no can do jog on” attitude that’s been given to not just me but a large number of top tier members about their crap allocation vs priority 3 members getting great seats for half the money. And I don’t believe for a second if Eddie or someone high enough over there with sufficiently sized balls enough were to march over to the MCC and demand their valued cat 5 members not be treated with contempt and given satisfactory seating then that wouldn’t be accommodated. I used to work at Etihad years ago in corporate hospitality and believe me when you need to move a mountain in a minute it can be done.

How? We tried and it came back with an error telling us we had already used our allocation?

Different memberships with 2 different barcodes, they aren’t linked - legends registered for the ballot via the CFC barcode and issued tickets for that barcode, AFL gold barcode used for AFL members gold with club support sale and issued ticket with that one. I don’t understand how if you have 2 different memberships with 2 different barcodes that you couldn’t purchase on both ticket class - did you register for the CFC ballot with your AFL barcodes and not legends? That’s the only explanation I can think of and you ended up in the ballot as category 3 member with AFL club support and therefore why barcode came up as invalid in the AFL sale as it had already been used in the club member allocation.

Pretty sure there's a thing where you go from AFL membership to Collingwood Legend and get a discount. So the two are tied together.
