Its not so bad.
IMO any midpricers team needs danger as captain.
Probably whoever let's you vc danger the most out of titch and dusty also.
Captain points are to valuable to skimp on.
Other than that its not a bad team.

Not bad, I prefer this - every player on field has averaged 90 at least once in their career. Pity some of them aren't fit

Decided to go for a very balanced team of GnR.

I have selected the 4 players who I think will be the top scorers across each line.
Sicily is probably the only one who might not be up a top 5 scorer, but I think he's best value mid-pricer.

I have gone for an extra rookie in midfield, will see what happens through JLT, but it looks by far the strongest line for rookies.
Wanted to bolster my fwd line as rookies are a bit hit and miss.

I expect 80% to change by the time round 1 comes, but this is at least a good base to tinker from.

Picked Shuey and Cameron as PODs but they are likely to change. Still not sure about my structure but will most likely end up starting with no more than 2 mid rookies on the field.

Made a few tweeks tonight, went Ryder > Lycett which allowed me to go Cripps > Danger and Brodie > Graham. Not sure how i feel about this but i do bloody love my new look midfield though, i miss Cripps already though. Once again predicament town, population me.

Mucking around with my team again due to forward rookies being garbage!

I don't think I want to field any forward rookies at F5 and F6 so thinking of having Bundy at F6!

Team is looking a bit more mid price madness than usual with Lids at F5 but there's not much to choose from in his price range and he could be a handy stepping stone to Lobb or Billings/Heeney come upgrade time.

Really interesting side & approach .......i've thought similarly with regard to forwards, but haven't had the guts to make the necessary calls to free up the $$$$

ATM i have a great side EXCEPT .......i have 3 rookies on-field up FWD ......i'll have to fix B4 Rnd 1

Another excellent side .....albeit with risks that all Coaches will be taking, but not too many

What's interesting, is how you've been able to tweek players, with similar scoring potential, but with price differential, to free up the $$$$ ........

I have him & thought about doing this ......but it's not a good start, when our FWD Rookies are so dicey ......i might start without & then upgrade to him ASAP ?? .....still thinking ?

Will work well if you have a Richmond or Carlton fwd rookie who fires and you can loophole.

Basically the exact same team as me. I have LMac instead of Witherden but squeezed Walters as an extra premo so have Christensen at F5.

Im a big fan of the set and forget theory with rucks. 2 premiums. but in saying that WITTS sort of proved me wrong on that front but ended up being a keeper.

I don't like Lloyd. There's no upside there and plenty of chance he'll slip out of top 10 defender status.

Zorko the tagged is a jet but no Rocky means the heat is coming for Zorko this and hard.

I'd ditch all your premium rookies and upgrade Lycett to Kruezer.

Your sacrificing quality for quantity. 8 players in the $400k - $500k price band. 9, possibly 10 premiums. Maybe another 2 will bust out to keeper status. That leaves you with 12 Premiums and 10 upgrades to complete. You've already spent 20 trades before rd 1 starts.
