The basis of the forward gameplan since about 2014 has been the 'chaos ball' approach.

Don't lead
Wait for the high ball
Bring the high ball to ground
Pressure the defenders into a turnover
Kick the opportunistic goal.

or

Kick the ball to the empty top of square or deep pocket.
Use the speed of the smalls (Pop & Jr)
If they win the ball, kick an opportunistic goal, or
If the opponent wins the ball, pressure them into a turnover
Kick opportunistic goal.

Both of these styles cannot happen without Puopolo and/or Rioli.

Hardwick & Burton are as fast as Poppy (In fact I'd say Burton is quicker). It's just that they don't look like they're straining every sinew at top speed like Poppy does.
Popeye has excellent acceleration, that the others don't. I'd pick him as wicket than the other 2x as well, but none of them are Impey-quick.

I'd particularly like to get games into Morrison, Lovell, Cousins, Moore and Worps.

Am finding it hard to have faith in JOR's body.
Listening and watching Jack on the Bupa injury report he didn't sound like a man that could ever find faith in JOR's body. Sounded defeated.

Thaihawk - older people are told to do it to keep the brain active to avoid demensia.

I should also tell you that older people are told to do it to keep the brain active to avoid demensia

Sounds like you've got amnesia, hang on! What was I on about? Forgot. What's your name again? Reckon I've got amnesia.

Plus if you give him a can of spinach he can do pretty much anything!

The word from Pies board is that Adams may play back pocket as for a lack of quality small defenders

Scenario: Adams wins the ball in our back 50 and with quality (not) disposal turns it over and goal gifted to your mob.

Yeah nah, not gonna happen - don't be surprised to see a cat b rookie in Murray rotating between BP and HB, his disposal is better than Adams.

Exactly right Brant it is his first 10 steps speed and lateral movement that I think is key here. If the Imp (Tyrion) is to play centre forward then we are less reliant on needing Pop there.

We do actually hit leading forwards from time to time, needs us to get the ball forward quick enough for the space to still be there and the player delivering to have the awareness and ability to kick to the lead.

You also missed the win the foot race back into 50 for a Puopolo soccer goal :D

Can't wait to sit in the G on saturday night and watch our 2018 campaign get going with an easy win
