Cathy Riewoldt was interviewed on that 'On the Mark' show that Koby featured on recently and spoke about her worries for Nick in his final years battling those multiple bad concussions. The one against Adelaide in 2015 with Brodie Smith was supposedly so bad that he had forgotten of Maddie's passing, and that he had to be re-told of the news with her having passed only a few months earlier.

That's pretty terrifying. Never realised how bad some of the concussions were for him, that definitely puts it into perspective and changes my outlook on the struggles that Paddy has encountered in his first few seasons.

I think Gerald is weeks behind the news....it became apparent to all at the club many many weeks ago(at least internally) that we are not as good as we thought we were.

That bomb also dropped onto supporters many many weeks ago.

He stated that the club is delusional in bringing up last years win against Richmond….excuse me !!!!!

The media continually bring that win up.....I've lost count on how many times I've seen that referred to.

I think if Prez had his time again he wouldn't have used the Tiges win as any sort of example.....it wasn't a good look at the time.

I did agree with Whateley when he said that game was an aberration.

Bit of a nothing article IMO...….nothing new in it and David King agreed with it....surprise!

All at the club have known for quite a while now that we have some serious issues.

Unfortunately success is the only way to silence the critics. I seriously hope we have hit rock bottom and we can start trending upwards. If you ever wanted to teach kids how to be resilient just get them to follow the Saints. What a rollercoaster ride!

Sam Mitchell type role maybe? 1 year as playing/part time coach and then transition into a forward coach after that. I'd take Roughy in a heartbeat if it meant we could get him on in a coaching capacity down the track.

Why is he a good coach. Rather get proven coaches than hoping someone is a coach. Anyway we don’t need another tall forward. Don’t mind mids of that quality but that’s where it should stop.

coach , last of the quartet Hodge , Lewis , Mitchell brings Hawthorn IP & forward craft to McCartin , Bruce
Membrey , Gresham & Long .

Does not have to travel interstate but be forwards coach for VFL for those times of the year.

Im sure it hasn’t escaped your notice but Roo isn’t playing any more.
He needed to retire when he did, injury wise, but ( cancer scare aside obviously) Roughy seems pretty durable and still in good nick. ( pun intended )

We need some mature experienced bodies pretty much all over the ground. A midfielder would be nice....but we need to find one who’s on offer.
