I just turned trade radio on and heard Dal saying "he will be at Moorabbin, at RSEA park next year" can anyone confirm who he was referring to please?

Love the analogy. Couple of decades ago I would leave my Holden Camira in train station car parks and no self-respecting thief would touch it.
I had an old Valiant AP5 that had some serious engine problems - was delighted when it got stolen.

Unfortunately the police found it burnt out dumped 50KM away on the other side of Melbourne - had to get a tow truck to take to to the car the car crushing place. Cost me heaps more than the car was worth!!!

Getting a bit sick of this character assassination of Geary.
He is ordinary as a footballer, but he had to take over the captaincy after and all time great.
It also insults the playing group who wanted him captain.
Geary is loved around the club and you wouldn't find a loyaler Saints person.
Football is not played in a bubble, and off gield matters. Maybe Geary's attitude and focus impressed Sheil. It has the playing group.
Instead of bagging the shit out of the guy, perhaps cut him some slack.
He was given the captaincy and put his hand up.

The guy has got everything he could possibly get out of himself. Maybe some of his more skilled teammates could try that a bit more.

well said ...
funny enough i heard a story about the captains photo shoot thing they do every year at the start of the year and the dynamic over the years amongst the captains ... Geary has been quiet popular among his peers and very comfortable conversing and speaking his mind with his peers (hence him being voted the captain) strangly the guy reportedly the more reserved and quiet the guy who was not really comfortable was the current Premiership winning teams captain ... so im told

Sorry missing something?

Mac for pick 4. What does that even mean?
I know I've gone all Aspy, but Weller is on our list.
Did they mean the other Weller?

Yea I dunno if old mate the caller was factoring in FA compo &/or Neal/Hogan/May trades. But essentially Mav Weller to Gold Coast for a top 5 pick.

The whole Shiel trade is interesting, reckon he will select Hawthorn but Connors is on record as saying that when a player is contracted that his advice is that to select a club you have to know that the clubs can get the deal done.
Carlton wont move pick one and not sure GWS will want a future pick. Hawthorn don’t seem to have the currency. I would think that we have the best financial offer and have the capabilities to offer the best trade to GWS.
If Shiel says Carlton then Carl gain an edge in negotiations. If Shiel says work the best deal for GWS as a token of my respect for the club proviso I get the money I want....then GWS has the power and can play Carl Saints and Haw off each other auction style.

If Carl say pick 1 is off the table then we are in the box seat as Hawthorn have SFA at pick 15&33.

If Lobbe goes Hickey will be part of the deal I reckon for Setterfield or pick 23 or GWS picks 45 and 48 from memory.

Bit to play out here I reckon.

Just feel that getting Scrimshaw and Setterfield whilst injuries concern adds to us getting the best potential 22 if we can get them right..... if

When up and going Shiel Hannas Kent and Scrimshaw and Setterfield Clark and Coffield vastly improve our bottom 7 players which is what we want.

No more BF gripes about Lonie Mav Sav Gilbo Dunstan Newnes and Armo as they will not be getting a run

Regarding Ceglar as a possible outlet for the Shiel trade:

“He's contacted for next year ... and he'll be at the Hawks next year," Pitcher said.

Excellent news, any reason why he shaved off all of his body hair though?
lol
I'm told Mav was the first one to greet him at the club! Hanna's was fine with shaving off the hair
to avoid the sniffer dogs but when Mav suggested he bleach his arse, Hanna's fell to the floor having flashbacks
Vietnam style about a wild night out with Buddy in Bondi!

This confused Mav as they clearly were not seeing eye to eye and he immediately put in a request to go back
to the Burnie Tigers via Gold Coast for a pack of twisties and a shave of the sack, back and crack by Wazza Capper and
the Brown boy!

Re this GWS fella.

I get the whole “we need to throw more money at him because we’re a nothing club” argument. I really do.

And it seems that’s what we’ve done.

And it seems we still can’t convince him.

While he may well be a gun, and while we may desperately need someone like him, for me that’s where it ends.

If he won’t come to us for way more than others have offered, then I don’t want him coming to us for way more than our already way more offer.

Forget him and let him take the easy option at Hawthorn, or better still, wallow away at Carlton.

NB: The above is based on various rumours and mumblings regarding our offers, their offers, Shiel’s thoughts and intentions being in any way remotely accurate.

Haha, when I left Australia, I dumped my duel fuel 1974 Kingswood Stationwagon with benxh-style front seats outside the Salvos with my old mattress in the back. Always wondered what happened to it. So many beautiful memories with that car but a lot of frustration too, a lot of failure and breakdowns, a lot of time spent getting fixed. Hope it's not still there it was over a decade ago.

Good news. Stuv & Gears caught up with Shiel for a kick to kick in Cho's backyard. Bad news - Cho's neighbour was getting peppered with stray balls while hanging up his washing and called the cops.

Rotflmao , that’s a brilliant post , one of the funniest I’ve seen on big footy since I joined a couple years ago.

Go Saints
