We ****ed the Swans hardcore. Chased Hanners last time he was out of contract, Mills as well Heeney that all went on overpriced long-term contracts. It is not just the amount we have offered, prepared to give some good quality players long-term deals which makes it hard to fiddle back-ended deals to try and avoid the pain.

I think clubs will be relieved if we get Polec, Gaff and Kelly, that will pretty much eat up the reserve. Saints almost as bad, they just keep underbidding us on the same players. Lets hope they overpay Hanners and Shiel.

Have to spend the cap somewhere better to overpay stars then spuds. At times your moves did look pretty desperate but now it’s coming together there has been a method to all the madness and once the first domino falls the rest seem to follow. We chased a few like you did as well and didn’t work until prestia said yes then caddy and nank followed. Won a flag and now lynch is on the way it’s all about the first one.
