I'm embarrassed it's all turned out like this, but I'll wear it. Rain, hail or shine.

But won't cop talking down GR, he got one of our players out of a suspension this year ffs. The disrespect is shithouse, take aim at me or some of the others.

Nah mate, your updates were awesome! It was obvious a few people were just doubling down without real inside info knowing it was 50:50 *cough* phillyroo *cough*, but equally as obvious you had good oil, and you were good enough to share it.

Let’s all hope Gaff is as atrociously indecisive on the field from here on in.

North Melbourne to ramp up pursuit of GWS gun Josh Kelly after missing out on Andrew Gaff

NORTH Melbourne will up the ante for Greater Western Sydney midfield jet Josh Kelly after its bid for West Coast running machine Andrew Gaff failed on Sunday.

The Kangaroos missed out on another priority midfield target when Gaff turned down their $1.2 million-a-year offer to remain with the Eagles, in a huge boost to the club’s hopes of back-to-back flags.

TARGET: POLEC REQUESTS TRADE TO NORTH MELBOURNE

West Coast’s offer for Gaff was believed to be $300,000 to $400,000 a year less than the Roos’, costing the Melburnian more than $2 million to stay in the west.

After missing out on Kelly’s prized signature a year ago, North will seek board approval once again to try to tempt the slick left-foot midfielder to Arden St with one of the game’s richest long-term deals.

The Kangaroos are desperate to land a big-name midfield recruit after missing out on Richmond’s Dustin Martin, Collingwood’s Adam Treloar and Jordan De Goey, and Sydney’s Isaac Heeney in recent years.

North says its big-money bids for A-grade talent will be successful and support the club’s quest for its next flag.

Kelly is widely recognised as one of the AFL’s most polished midfielders.

Along with Western Bulldogs superstar Marcus Bontempelli, Kelly would command more than $1.5 million a year to change clubs.

But unlike Gaff, Kelly, 23, is not yet eligible for free agency, as the 100-gamer prepares to enter his sixth AFL season in 2019.

So does the Mountford stuff have any merit or is it only being suspected since you guys are (understandably) riled up? Actually curious since I thought he was just injured (and thought since you guys have a good medical department he's just no hope)

Crack den whores are usually victims of economic circumstances. Often of very good character but just fallen on hard times. I doubt Gaff is that bad a person, probably just a bit of a bore considering his solid Eastern suburbs upper-middle class WASPy private school kinda vibe. Just another dude that never had much to offer but can live a privileged life as a professional athlete.

Thanks for coming along to my blood letting.

I appreciate the scones.

Listen mate. 15 threads in 6 years doesn't quite entitle you to be bagging GR. GR is the most revered poster on this board and rightly so.

He devotes an enormous amount of time here to provide top quality up to the minute information to us. So maybe it might be a smart move to just keep your thoughts to yourself.
No one is beyond criticism no matter their posting history....in my books.

But just didn't have any basis.

...,Jon Snow’

You forgot that

But he’s fictional; like you, so head back off to your main Avatar wherever that maybe
All clubs have ups and downs, but a few people around here go silent when things are looking good and then revel in it when things go bad.

For now, Joyce will just have to live with the legacy of bringing in our 2 time B&F winner Higgins, retaining all our stars, adding Ahern to the midfield and trading for that absolute BUST Anderson.
Joyce was probably the main reason we got as far as we did with Gaff as the preferred alternative club to West Coast. They were at Oakleigh together which helped with the sales pitch....

Exactly, there's a few guys out there who do have legitimate contacts (lets be honest, no clubs are in a cone of silence). It's just bad luck. The actions of the club over the last week clearly indicate Gaff had given an affirmative to North... I'll continue to give those guys far more respect than I will the usual nay-sayers that sit there saying the whole time something isn't happening and then lean back gleefully when their negativity is paid off.
So it’s the people at the club talking it up like it’s definite that we should be mad at? I want to know who it is at the club that has no idea how to read a negotiation.

Our club is being run by idiots and they need to be held to account.

Ummm, Phillyroo - please don't tell us Josh Kelly is definitely coming next year.
All in good fun but PR would have to be one of the unluckiest posters from Heaths confrontation to Puma right thru to today’s backflip

No one could have seen these unprecedented turn of events when literally we could have 2 a graders running around for us.

You don't have to wear shit. You posted what you know. That's giving up your free time to a bunch of blood sucking vultures (me included). I'll pay for my own drug rehab and tip my hat to you not cry and complain and ask you to foot the bill.

I thank you for the heads up and the entertainment along the way.

Woah we cant have everyone taking responsibility for their own feelz. How else can we guilt trip money out of people?

What makes things worse is when the naysayers come on here gloating "I told you so". Its as if they just want these things to fall over so they can have their (perceived only in their own minds) moment of glory. Pathetic really.

Sorry TFW, I think I just said the same as you. Oh well great minds think alike.

My bad. What I quoted was diiferent to what I read but just because Gaff left 2 mill on the table by signing with WC doesnt mean they upped their offer

Fair enough, I strongly believe (with no direct evidence) that there's no way he left $2 mill on the table. In which case, they must have upped their offer.

We'll find out if I'm wrong soon enough.

Unfortunately, we do have a few of those Horrie.

Makes you wonder why they ever chose a club like North to follow.

They were offering $900K p.a. and they upped the offer when Lycett skedaddled.

How much, I dunno, but it's safe to assume he's on a million plus a season.

Oh well it could be worse

Like you could win a Flag and then fall off the map the next 2 seasons

Like you could win a Flag, play 23 games next season , lose 4, and get smashed by a Texan in a Prelim...

Like you could lead a GF for 98% of the day and lose with 2 minutes to go...

Bring on Trade Week!

LOL. Yah Twit. This is where you are sadly mistaken. I don't revel in the inconsistentcy of Scotts and Joyces. I also haven't remained silent when we have played well. I have also acknowledged the things that we have got right as a football club. It's all good and well for you to pick and choose what you want to read and believe. What you fail to acknowledge that after 9 years we are still no where near that Premiership we all crave for. For a large part it has been mediocre finishes year in and year out. Your blind faith in Scotts and Joyces is sickening. What's more important. Scotts and Joyces or the North Melbourne Football Club? :stern look
