Pruess doesn't worry me, we don't rate him, but I would like to just add this, I think we've collectively (NMFCBF) focused on missing Gaff and not looking at what we've picked up. had a chat today about Polec and," he beat us on his own this year, we tried unsuccessfully to tag him".

Tyson imo will swap fwd with Cunners.
Pittard is the "one" that excites us a bit, we have some inside info there. Excites from the pov he cost us bugger all and a few things going on at Port.
Polec- gun my thoughts only
Hall- plenty of opportunities as we get the ball and if he can position himself correctly he'll enjoy his time at North.
Looking forwrd to us pushing top 4 in 2019, we're bitterly disappointed in missing finals this year, and feel our best is good enough. Time to deliver boys!!

I for one get worn out by the misery and doom being spread by so many armchair experts who know only as much as anyone else or less and who choose to see the world as half empty. On top of that they berate the club at every chance for making silly decisions without a clue in the world as to why or what the context, restraints and challenges are.

We are killing it off field, had a great and fun year on field and have at the very least, had a crack at trade week! Active, open and aggressive - I can't ask for more!

Yes I wish snd dream of better things at times but look around at some of the slop that we are not!

Good work so far North and now it's time to bring home Our three young targets!

Like a number of others, I’m a longtime lurker who is compelled to post in this (in my opinion) legendary thread.

It has for the most part been a gripping read.

The first half was largely the build up of the Gaff saga, and following it made it difficult not to become emotionally invested.

I checked in on Sunday arvo (Irish time) to catch up and find 69 or so new pages with Gaff’s name no longer in the title - jilted! I read through it all to follow how it unfolded, and rode the heightened emotions with everyone who contributed on what may well have been a record-breaking day of postal output.

The last third of the thread has been a return to the more classic BF - debates on over/underrating available players, new acquisitions and departing players, whether we were bent over in our deals, best 22 2019 sides, top 4 2019 claims, spelling and grammar corrections. To me, this thread has had it all.

Special thanks to those who put their nuts on the line re. Gaff. As Bard says “possession is 9/10ths of the law” and one day we will catch a big fish!

FYI, very happy with the acquisitions of the last week. Go North!
