What could have been if we got our drafting right in 15/16?

2015:
McKay - I believe can make it.
Clarke - Soon to be delisted
Hibberd - Delisted
Wagner - Delisted
Mountford - Fan but injury has hurt him. Most likely will be delisted.

Ray - Understand the pick at the time
Daw - Rookie upgrade

2016
Simpkin - Going to be a gun once he has three or four full pre-seasons under the belt.
Watson - Will be delisted next season
Williams - Delisted
Larkey - Hopefully gets a go in 2018 in the seniors

Zurrhar - Has a big future if he puts his head down
Junker - Injury killed him
Taylor - Strange pickup

In Mr McMahon and co We Trust.

If we trade Preuss for a pick below 25 I won't be happy. I say this every year, people seem to continue to over rate draft picks. Anything outside the top 10-15 picks rarely becomes anything of note, a pick 33 has about a 10% chance of helping the club (outside of providing a few points). I would much rather have a guy who is young and could definitely become a big time player, especially if his biggest knock is his 'tank', which is the easiest and quickest thing a footballer can improve.

Unless Melbourne are trading us Bailey Fritsch (which they won't) who would suit our needs perfectly, or a player of similar talent level on their fringe, I would say piss off. Allthough I've always been on the bandwagon of trading Oldstein before we trade Preuss. Should be developing the next ruckmen who can guide us through the next 5-7 years of contention rather than a ruckman who could do it for the next 1-2 years before falling off a cliff.
