Wasnt that someone who was interested in Smith? Thought there were people on here suggesting Smith was out the door? Unless this has all changed in the last few weeks
Well it obviously has substance the dees are just playing hard ball as I expected. Happy to proclaim there pissed off with Christian publicly yet seem unwilling to compromise.Put a line through Petracca rumour completely has no substance Dees are trying to take one of our experienced players but we are not interested in dealing for anything but picks
Correct. So there is substance, just not for the price Dee’s are asking.
Mate there is or was substance as long as a club they are dealing with comes to the party locked and loaded. No Melbourne are looking at one of our players and we are only looking at bringing picks in not interested in trading for fringe players
Petracca has played 68 games in the past three seasons...wouldnt call him fringeNo Melbourne are looking at one of our players and we are only looking at bringing picks in not interested in trading for fringe players
That is a great argument. However, it seems like you are having a bit of both ways.
1. Strict one year contracts for players over 30.
2. But if that player gets a car crash injury they know their welfare will be taken care of and they won't be turfed out of the club.
It can't be both. If the club gives "welfare commitments" then they aren't really strict one year contracts are they?
The reality of strict one year contracts is that:
1. If a players wants security we will help you get to another club.
2. We regularly lose players, like Smith, when over the age of 30.
Thus there needs to be some flexibility, unless we accept we will lose players.
I hope it is correct - would be great to keep them bothAFL Runner saying both Ceglar and Pitto likely to stay which surely cannot be correct. Anyways interesting times a head.
How long till trade period MrPremiership?

Yeh, we should probs go f**k that up for them!-Davis, Hopper, Cogs, Greene, Whitfield, Ward, Taranto, Cameron, Haynes, Kelly, Shaw, Williams - all arguably A graders
-Kennedy, Perryman, Corr, Finlayson, Himmelberg, Simpson, Keefe, De Boer, Buntine, Tomlinson - can be solid B grade players and good role players
-Caldwell, Hately, Bonar, Cumming, Taylor, Daniels, Langdon, Hill - good young talent, definitely a few really good players of the future in here.
GWS has a lot going for them in terms of their players and list. Quality and quantity in terms of A grade elite talent, B grade role players and even a great group of really young but promising draftees

So we are looking at their pick 3? Lemme guess they want a Breust or a Gunston? No Melbourne are looking at one of our players and we are only looking at bringing picks in not interested in trading for fringe players
Smith is the name we have heard they are interested in but we would need to sweeten that with our pick youd think (sorry about the dabble in hypothetical)So we are looking at their pick 3? Lemme guess they want a Breust or a Gunston?
