Should be playing for us in the g.f still can't get my head around the suttcliffe pick . Would of weakened Glenelg and would be a better chance of making a go if it in the AFL side
Ex Carlton rookie and port boy Luke Reyonds looked good today. 24 yrs old strong mark nice left leg would suit a 3rd foward role.
Probably won't get drafted but 28 year Lachlan Delahunty won the Sandover Medal as best player in the WAFL last night. From a bunch of older guys, Kane Mitchen, Kyle Horsley, Jye Bolton and Haiden Schloithe.
The best "mature aged" guy was Ben Sokol with the 23 year, 186cm forward winning the WAFL goal kicking and finishing 8th with 15 votes.
Wrong, if you got two years contract, why take one year on rookie list. Club can just delist him after one year under Spp rule.Also Partington would be able to join a list directly rather than go the draft in the same way as Zac Clarke and Shane Mumford right?
Yeah it kinda still gets him on a list, plus he'd be in a better position. He's been delisted so he's a delisted free agent for life. If he has a breakout season he can go anywhere they offer him a big contract the very next season. I think he and the club he chooses to go to can negotiate whatever contract they want too so the part about him being a rookie seems a bit academic. I don't see how going to the draft gives him any benefit at all.Wrong, if you got two years contract, why take one year on rookie list. Club can just delist him after one year under Spp rule.
Going to draft can earn him more money, 10k more is a lot, look at Deboer compare to mzungu, sivagni difference, zak Clarke might show the door this year if Essendon can get somebody in.Yeah it kinda still gets him on a list, plus he'd be in a better position. Clarke spent a long time in football, sides wouldn't expect much growth in his game. For a player like Partington who is 22 I'd say most clubs would likely be willing to put an extra year or two into him. Plus, I'm certain he can nominate his own contract terms. He's effectively an unrestricted free agent right now I think.Going to draft can earn him more money, 10k more is a lot, look at Deboer compare to mzungu, sivagni difference, zak Clarke might show the door this year if Essendon can get somebody in.
If he's a delisted free agent (and I haven't checked), then he can join a senior list during the DFA signing periods, no need to wait for the SSP to get on a rookie list the way Clarke and Mumford did. Either way, doesn't need to go in the draft.Yeah it kinda still gets him on a list, plus he'd be in a better position. He's been delisted so he's a delisted free agent for life. Yeah not 100% on the rule but looks to me like you're DFA the year you leave, the next year on you can join during SPP. Either way not much incentive to nominate for the draft unless SPP interest was lukewarm and the club wanted to wait until after the draftIf he's a delisted free agent (and I haven't checked), then he can join a senior list during the DFA signing periods, no need to wait for the SSP to get on a rookie list the way Clarke and Mumford did. And if he's signing directly then his salary would be negotiated directly, going through the draft wouldn't improve his wages in the slightest.
Who's Baker?Narrowed down my top 5 Mature Age prospects for 2019;

That’s correct.Also Partington would be able to join a list directly rather than go the draft in the same way as Zac Clarke and Shane Mumford right?
NEAFL half-back, former Sydney Swans Academy graduate.Who's Baker?
Sam Murray delisted. Wonder if we will be talking about him in here next year
If we can turn Liam Ryan into a pressure machine there’s no reason why Sokol can’t apply himself in a similar manner.Knock on Sokol as well was that he lacked forward defensive pressure. Valid criticism or solvable problem?
