Panthers vs SF not broadcasted???? GTFO here.

Absolute disgrace looking at some of the games in primetime.

Not one of the broadcasted games is better.
And the Niners are rocking their throwbacks too

Annual 'look at me' power rankings post

With 2018 rankings still there for posterity and criticism (NE #6, hmm...)

Vikings and Ravens massively overrated, Lions a touch underrated....other that pretty good. 🙂

Edit: Raiders too high also.

Seachickens below Rams is interesting

I've focussed on higher rankings for the more 'balanced' teams.

Hence why I've dropped the Eagles below some of the other teams they could certainly beat on their day (Raiders, even Vikings).
Both Vikings and Ravens have markedly improved on O, and both have solid/above-average D (Ravens should continue to improve).
Also why the Seahawks are outside the top tier, 4/5 wins by less than 5 points. Wilson has been great but too much reliance on him leaves them wanting if he struggles.

Balanced? How the Ravens so high then? Before this week their D had been roasted consistently.

Too much faith in Vikings offense being back. Kirk has had an easy stretch of games against some below average defenses/secondaries.

And I want him to suceed, I like the bloke, but he can't be trusted against quality opposition imo.

Anyone got any thoughts on the Pats season so far?

Obviously tonight was clinical, no arguments there and the Jets haven't been too bad but apart from the Bills they've had a very soft schedule.

In saying that the defence has given up 1 passing TD all season lol.

So where do people sit?

As I said they should continue to improve.
And their only really poor performance was against the Browns. They've just been average otherwise, with a strong performance on the road on the weekend.
If their D was better they'd be in top 5, but it isn't yet.

Most teams are flawed, and don't think any of the teams from #7-12 are better across the board compared to the Ravens.

That's fair. I think it also reflects the overall improvement in the Vikings O, from more pass playcalling, to better QB play, etc..

I'd have the Panthers ahead of quite a few of the teams above them including the Ravens, but hey, that might be some bias talking, but I'm pretty confident we are a better team than them.

I like that you have the Colts higher than most. One team people still seem to be not giving enough credit too. I view the Panthers in a similar mould.

Such a Carolina homer :moustache:
Nah, that's a fair point. But I'm not sure CMC can play at this level all year, and I wonder how the Panthers will go against the stronger sides if that happens. Three tough away games coming up so they have ample opportunity to prove me wrong!

Our D is sneaky elite, people slow to recognise it tho. It will keep us in a lot of games even when CMac is struggling(as he did vs the Bucs in London and we still put up 30 something points!)

The D is strong, and takeaway numbers are impressive but it would only be borderline top 5.

I'll go out on limb and say it will be top 3 by the end of the year. No real weakness honestly. I don't base a huge % in run defense given the difference between 1st to 15th is generally marginal. We are easily leading the league in sacks since finding our mojo in week 3.

That's fair. Would need to displace one of NE, SF or Buffalo. Good performances against Niners, Packers and/or Saints with Brees back would help that narrative.
