Interesting emergencies- Butler infront of Menadue

And 2 hard nosed mids - Ross and Picket - made for finals footy

Ross is struggling with a couple of injuries and will most likely go under the knife at seasons end. So just shows how highly he’s thought of

went last week and couldnt see anything about Butler that would suggest he could push for senior selection.

Yes he is, although Scott does have another 3-years to run on his deal so won't be sacked anytime soon. Whilst I'm not a massive fan, he has done well to transition the list without bottoming out after those 3-premierships. To be playing in yet another prelim is a decent effort and I'd rather that than finishing outside of the 8. We can't complain.

There is every reason we should win. Home game, huge crowd, players in great form, up against a side who had been inconsistent since mid-season and is missing 2 very good players in Porkins and Duncan. Really, if we don’t win, then I will say congrats to Geelong, either they will have played out of their skins or we would simply have sh1t the bed like last year and don’t deserve to be premiers

Would say at this stage of the year, a lot also comes down to luck.
Games at a neutral venue, the MCG. Not a home game sorry

Ellis saved by “team balance”, that ol’ chestnut.
Has to be the only reason he remains in the side. I suppose nobody knocked the door down last week in the 2s. Thought Menadue was very good but not even named as an emergency. Just hope our weakest link doesn’t get exploited too much.
