A massive risk. Ballsy if you go this way.
2018 games: BSmith 2, Roberton 4, Blakely 13, Williams 2.
Need Laird or Lloyd in there to strengthen.
+1.

Get Laird in Kadog

Fyfe is too risky at above 600k. Dude hardly ever plays more than 20 games. He'll probably get battered even worse without Neale around. Been many years since he's gone 120+
I’ve been thinking the same thing.

I’m thinking Oliver/MCrouch could be the go.

Agree, not going him, durability the issue.

Agree, spreadsheets are easier to work with. You can have any number of them open with different team setups and just flick between them.

Spot on, especially for forward planning / looking at different scenarios, they are way easier to work with.

The site / app are improved on what they were, but they’re still clunky and limited in comparison.

Probably not, given he's never played more than 17 games in a season. If I was to make room for Gawn I'd likely go down to miles/hanners/liber or go smith/heeney to someone like danniher or jjk

Hang-on ......you had me on your Brouch rationale ....then lost me

How many AFL games did Hanners, Libba, Miles, Daniher, play last season .......you have to remain consistent with these arguments, not selective

with libertore thats fair but with hannebery and daniher last season was their first season with less than 20 games in three years. From my understanding, i could be completely wrong, miles previous issues have always been selection based instead of injury based

Yes correct, but does Miles become an automatic selection at GC? ......no guarantees ATS

Daniher, may struggle to play ....Hanners, is his body deteriorating ?......how many Knee Reco's now for Libba?

My point is, why isn't Brouch in that bunch, rather than isolated ........seem to rember Coaches here not wanting to select Taylor Adams, because of his injury history.....played every game, and had his best SC season

these players obviously need to be judged on pre-season fitness, but i will still be significantly more likely to pick a player with previous games under their belt, e.g. daniher who had played 20, 22, 22, 22 games before last season, than a player who has never played over 17 games in a season

i am no expert on miles but i believe that stewie dew had played a large part in bringing him to the club, indicating that he wants to play him.

I agree re how players get thru both the PS and JLT games .........but in the Daniher Example, whilst he's played every game, are you potentially choosing him because he's cheap, or his SC scores ......because his SC ave scores SUCK !

Me, I am choosing Brad .....had a groin releasing surgery mid year, has been training 4 months & not missed a beat ......I'm choosing Brad, not because he's cheap , but because of his scoring ability !

I didn't actually pick Daniher, I just said if I decided that I needed Gawn he would be contemplated. I would be picking him for his low price point in the hope that he would be able to get back to an average similar to his 85ish in 2017. That would allow him to increase his price to about 450k, a 160k price increase. For Crouch to increase by 160k he would have to average 107, which I do not believe he can achieve. Hence I believe he can not make as much cash as Daniher, or achieve keeper status, hence my decision.

Yes, but I'm not picking Brouch as a stepping stone, he's a keeper & being chosen for his scoring capacity .....the $160K that a Daniher might make on his $277K price tag is going to be a longer cash generation timeframe than a $123K Rookie will take to generate the same $160K

This is why the $200K Rookies last year were such a bummer ......they failed to score more than the $117-123K rookies, thus weren't appreciating appreciably

These mid-pricers can really stuff up your year, if you get them wrong ..........the choice between a Libba, Miles, Hanners, Roberton ect , are going to be critical calls

;)
