With the cavalry to come back I would think it's because he's virtually zero chance of getting games, at least early in the season. Cousins and Morrison well ahead in the pecking order IMO.

As a hawks supporter I doubt that he will play round 1 as I'm unsure where he would play and who's spot he would take.
It is very unusual that clarko plays rookies first up, so I'm thinking not but who knows?
He was busy, the ball came to him and when it didn't he knew where it was going. His endurance is elite and theoretically there is no reason he shouldn't play. But I don't think he will? If he shows in vfl that he can perform he will be given his chance in round 3 or 4 probably.
