Probabaly but would you rather pick putridsmelle?

Right now I’m fighting the temptation to go big Darcy Moore with his smoove DPP action and tell myself he’d a better option than that bloody goody two shoes Sam ‘Look at me, I’m so mature for my age, everyone is so impressed with my mad skills and Judd-like approach and I’ll make all you pricks cough up massive dollars for me’ Walsh.

Probably covered, but wouldn’t Usain Balta’s JS be really shaky with their topliners still to return?
Obvious answer is yes with Lynch and Caddy to come back in. BUT, we need a second ruck, AFL has extinguished the Grigg experiment with the rule changes. So there is the potential that if he plays well he could hold on to that third tall/2nd ruck spot, and Caddy when he returns plays mostly as a mid (he has defs slimmed down this summer so will be playing more mid either way). He also is very flexible so they could just pick him as the second ruck and then just plug him wherever needed when he's not rucking.

So really its a maybe, wait and see, we probably won't know until during the season. Which doesn't help at all :)

Sen this morning Tim Watson revealed that Hinkley was a massive wrap for Butters after their interview yesterday morning saying he will have a impact at afl level this year. Lock him in boys.

Caddy and Grigg expected to be back between rounds 4-7, Lynch rounds 1-2. Reckon Balta will be given a run and a good opportunity to cement himself in our best 22 Ala Higgins last year.

Pffft as if Lynch or Caddy will take Baltas spot...

Possibility to take Griggs spot who's out til end 5

Everyone still gonna hold Gibbons if he stays in that small fwd role this week?
can't see him hittin 60 every week..only had 9 possies and was boosted after a couple goals:thumbsdown:
yes he's cheap and offers quick cash, but in that role a couple of quiet games and he's gone...sittin on the bench @ 150k just pissing us off!:fire:

60 average with good JS at 102k doesn’t sound that bad tbh

He most likely wont average 60 playing small forward and that's the issue. Just have to look at all the previous small forward rookies Carlton have showed us over the years.

I'll still likely start him, but it doesn't excite me. All his great VFL stats are playing full midfield.

Surely Carlol will put him through the midfield at some stage... surely?

Gone off Gibbons a litle also. Good JS but not sold on his scoring potential. Especially with most others having 3 Carlton mids already. On saying all that, he's still in my team with Walsh, Butters, Caldwell and Constable as the other mid rookies. Assuming they're all picked round 1.

get ready for some sub50 action...or worse!
wont kick 2 goals every week and might not have as solid JS as we thought/hoped.
time will tell..but i'm not too excited atm.

I agree on his scoring but his js should be pretty good. Especially in comparison to the likes of Caldwell Hately Bewley Hayes.
