I think the real question is whether we'd want Tex as part of the playing group. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he's definitely a tool of some sort.

Dodongo doesn't get the hate for Ceglar. He will be depth. We are in the window. If Martin goes down Dodongo doesn't trust Archie and Big O to handle it. Big O is better when he is playing ruck/forward and not rucking full time and Archie will never be an AFL ruckman and certainly won't be able to fill in. That is where Ceglar comes in. He is a competent Martin replacement.

Dodongo would also welcome Ah Chee and Martin in a heart beat. Both would thrive under Fagan.

I can't see it either but if there was any chance I'd be doing just about whatever it reasonably took.

Our small forwards would get a free run with him up there . He's too big and too dangerous not to have a couple of guys trying to spoil. Plus he leads. Plus he's what ,25 ?? Plus he seems like a cleanskin apart from the injury issues which can happen.

It really depends on whether playing in Brisbane might be appealing to him .

More importantly he could shave that silly mo' and start afresh.

This is exactly still my mindset. It used to be "Brisbane have heaps of salary cap room" to now "players want to go to Brisbane" but the effect is pretty much the same. If there are seriously any players coming our way, expect it out of nowhere and being reported by a journo with some degree of surety, rather than the ubiquitous "player X has been linked with a number of clubs", which is usually code for the player manager fishing around for the best deal for their client.

Our MO in the last few years has been targeting specific players and being able to keep it a relative secret, not just casting a net in the pool of the uncontracted. And with the way leaks have dried up from within the club over the past couple of years, the lack of whispers around any potential recruits isn't exactly surprising.

If we thought that dealing with Freo last year was bad and Adel the year before a nightmare, then this will be nothing if we have to deal with Essendon (Dodoro) this year.
For my health and well-being, I think we pass on Daniher.

FWIW, Daniher is no chance to come to us.

Why do you regard him so lowly when he's kicked 40 this year and in four of the past five years? McStay hasn't even cleared 20 this year.

I think to a degree we have adapted our gamestyle to suit our cattle.
If we had a genuine forward player like daniher that can lead , mark and actually kick goals we would probably change our plan from going for pack marks and bring it to the ground for the crumbers.Instead using a leading forward as a genuine goal avenue.
The way we play now makes the best or gets the best results where say Dan Mcstay can compete and mark but might struglle to kick the goal.

It's the same way we have moved to kicking down the line to a contest instead of disecting the oppositions defence , we simply don't have the skill set "yet" , I say again yet to pull it off .

A lot of talk he is pissed with the Bombers medical department blaming them for lack of games. Mishandling injuries.
Free agent end of next year. Latest trend is to re-sign or move on a year out. Hence Jungle drums beating.
Do not think it be us I think Swans get him.

It was literally texts in to SEN Breakfast. Was confusingly posted about on here around 5-6 pages ago and hasn't gone away despite it being clearly nothing more than rumour mongering.

I listened to a podcast this morning, that mentioned him being spotted in Brisbane about a week after being spotted having a Coffee in Sydney with his (Mentor).
Not sure if there is anything in that?

Daniher was in Brisbane visiting a surgeon, re: groins. I would love to have him at the Lions but he's not coming our way.

Just watched a trade video on the AFL app and apparently Riley Knight may have some interest from Brisbane. Also mentioned his connection with Noble. A lot of names getting thrown around at the moment haha. Personally can’t see where he would fit in our team.
