F*** me. Brathwaite is like a heavyweight boxer who tries to fight like Floyd Mayweather. Yeah mate, use the skilful shit when you need to, but otherwise, just get out there and f***ing thump it

Hasn't worked for him this tournament, or ever, really. I reckon he might actually be better served batting higher. Coming down so low, he honestly isn't a threat, but he showed good intent in running between the wickets unlike a lot of the top order, and he's a competent batsman at FC level.

He is a genuinely good batsman, he showed that in his two tests at Sydney and Melbourne. But his best asset in limited overs cricket is power. Keep out the straight one and smash everything else wherever possible. What makes no sense about him is his bowling speed.

The most demoralising thing about this is, it represents the big ‘two steps back’ after what was a massive step forward in test cricket over the last 18 months. West Indies has no ability to compartmentalise - a disaster in one format means their whole cricket spectrum is f***ed. For the others, if their test team is doing well it’s ‘well at least our test team is good’ or whatever.

West Indies cricket future atm is about as promising as Myer stores.

I’m maybe being too optimistic but in tests? Mate there is a fair bit of upside. Two wins over Pakistan (one away) and one against England (away) with a side that had one player over 30. Series win in Zimbabwe too (yeah no big deal but hey, wins are wins). They’ll beat Sri Lanka in the West Indies this year. And that was without Darren Bravo.

But it wouldn’t surprise me if half those players are sacked because of what happened in the one day side.
