His intent was to punch the ball. Which he did. Contact milliseconds later couldn't be avoided.

Reckon he saw him coming and extended the elbow in greeting.

Didn't have a lot of time to do much else, could have tucked it in

As much as I would like Danger to miss games there is nothing in that . Made contact with a the ball milli seconds before the fist hit the ball. Can't see either again. If we see Gaz he wont be able to tackle (coming from someone who has done multiple shoulders)

I respectfully disagree, he had enough time and awareness to drop the elbow.
