Assuming we get band 3 for Atkins -

The logical thing would be 20 and 21 for WBs 13.

We take 4 early picks and NGAs. Trade 28 for Hately, knowing that we have a strong negotiating position. WB use the points from 20 and 21 for a JUH bid, before the picks get pushed back (so they get full value for them).

Seems to work for everyone.

Harry Himmelberg may be another possibly looking to get out of GWS even though under contract. Being dropped last game is a kick in the ass. Gerard Healy reckons he would make a good backman. Might be worth looking into.

I can't see a scenario where we trade that pick. We wouldn't get value for it - no one is aggressively trading out of next year, except maybe Collingwood because of Daicos, I guess?

Melbourne might be tempted for their 1st rounder next year... they haven't got a first round pick this year.

I would trade them pick 9 (if we get band 1 FA) which will be a pick low enough for them to bite and take the risk, particularly given next year seems to be a compromised 28 games season where you think the AFL will need to do the "festival of football" twice to make up the money the lost from the 6 rounds, we need something serious to support next year like we did death riding GWS.
