OK draw IMO ... I have us with 13 winnable games, plus throw in a few upsets our way ... The big unknown is, how many upsets will we throw away to weaker teams!

In the end, its up to the team now!
That's not an unknown at all pencil in at least 2 going up to 5

.The draw itself is ok apart from getting couple of extra 6 day breaks than we normally have.
Taking the emotion and frustration of seeing Ken still sitting in the chair which I am fully part of, realistically looking at who we play and where, we will finish with about 12 or 13 wins. And in the 7th-9th range Good enough? of course not. But to those who are saying we will finish bottom 4 I understand your frustration with the club but we are not that bad to finish that low.
Your name really matches your prediction of our wins and finishing position.

No. It's one of 37 premierships won by the club in that 150 years. It holds no special significance to our 150th year celebrations.
Lol it's clearly in the club's top 2 achievements
Only thing that might beat it is 6 in a row

We currently play in the AFL, the clear biggest league there is, and we are celebrating our one premiership in this league. Don't be a nuffie

The fact we only have 1 is mildly embarrassing and shouldn't be highlighted above and beyond our record volume of SANFL premierships that actually got us into that league to begin with.

I call it as I see it I'm not expecting any more than 12 or 13 wins. But I'm
Not expecting a 2011 type of result either. Time will tell but wishing our club to finish bottom 4 like some people are is bizarre regardless of the hate for Ken.

Because the VFL consider it our biggest achievement in our 150 years.

Way bigger than 6 in a row in the SANFL...

True. But I'm struggling to see how we can improve on last year. I'm of the opinion that 11 wins will be our max as we will once again choke against shit teams at home.

It is our only flag from the current league we play, though...

I would add the undefeated season to the mix.

"Between 9 and 13 wins" is so us right now, isn't it?

It being being embarrassing and it being probably are best achievement can go hand in hand

Our doubles will most probably be:
1 Top-6
3 Mid-6 (including W. Lakes)
1 Bottom-6

Top-6 (1): Rich, GWS, Geel, Coll, Fitz, Rest
Mid-6 (2): Foot, Ess, Haw, North
Bot-6 (1): Freo, StK, Syd, Carl, Melb, Gold

My guess would be: GWS, Essendon, Hawthorn, and Fremantle.

---
P.S.: Our schedule would look something like this:

DOUBLES
Fremantle
W. Lakes
Hawthorn
G.W.S.
Essendon
HOME
W. Coast
Brisbane
Carlton
Collingwood
Footscray
Sydney
AWAY
G. Coast
Geelong
Melbourne
North
Richmond
St. Kilda

But, it is only an educated guess...

Ok. I have gotten Hawthorn right as a double. I also thought it would be 1-3-1 (T6-M6-B6), and it is. Good.

2020 Port's Doubles
Top-6 (1): Rich, GWS, Geel, Coll, Fitz, Rest
Mid-6 (2): WL, Foot, Ess, Haw, North
Bot-6 (1): Freo, StK, Syd, Carl, Melb, Gold

On the schedule, I got wrong 6 games: COL, a; GEL, h; GC, h; SYD, a; WC, a; WB, a;

I would have gotten right 9 games regardless: GC, a; ADE, h; WC, h; WB, h; STK, a; ADE, a; FRE, h; ESS, h; GWS, h.

I got right 7 games: NM, a; CAR, h; MEL, a; BRI, h; HAW, a; RIC, a; HAW, h.

A 7-6-9 record is not bad. Very Hinkley of me...

the good friday clash is the AFL handballing a bag egg to interstate clubs, they are doing us no favour's here, all the data from the games in Melbourne have shown they public dont really like it and they are giving it to us under the guise of what a good turn we are doing for you.

In that case I wish we could simply pull out of this stupid China arrangement, it’s done nothing for us on-field
50/50. We've won all three China games, then lost all three following. It may be reasonably argued that overall our record in the last three seasons is better pre-China game than after it.

I'm guessing it's the one week everyone in the Club is focussed on winning, and the messaging is less strident after that.

Last 7 games Richmond don't play every game at the MCG like this year. 4 at the MCG, inc away game to Carlton, jump on a plane to play GC, Adelaide and Freo.

Travel 6 times, above 3 plus play WCE, Brisbane and GWS. 10 home games at MCG + 4 away games there. Play 2 games at Dockland, only home game is against Port of course, and away game is against St Kilda.

Collingwood's last 7 games they play 5 games at MCG, away at G against Tigers and Bombers and jump on a plane to play Dockers Rd 19 and Eagles Rd 22 which they will probably whinge about.

Travel 5 times all up, the 2 to WA above, Brisbane for Easter Thursday game, GWS and Sydney games. 9 home games at MCG + 5 away games. 3 games at Marvel inc 2 home games against tenants StK and North away to Dogs.

Now that the AFL own Docklands, (have since November 2016) I thought they would force the bigger MCG tenant clubs to play 2 or 3 home games each there to get a bigger financial return.

The 5 tenant clubs play 38 home games there, Collingwood 2, Hawthorn 1, Richmond 1 = 42 games and Melbourne and Geelong don't play a home game there.

Melbourne for years jumped up and down about playing home games there and Geelong have wanted 9 at Kardinia Park, 2 at MCG and 0 at Docklands. Geelong have achieved that again this year after doing so last year and Melbourne have sold their games to NT to get around that issue.
