While Dunkley is said to be looking for more midfield time and a better deal, Morris reports that he’s also become “frustrated” with the leadership and culture at the Bulldogs.

Morris said the issue doesn’t pertain to senior figures coach Luke Beveridge and captain Marcus Bontempelli, but rather a group of players who aren’t meeting Dunkley’s standards.

“He wants a more professional culture within the playing group,” Morris said. “He’s part of the leadership group and he’s pulling the club one way and he believes certain teammates are taking it the other way.”

When asked by Herald Sun reporter Jon Ralph if Dunkley feels that there are “rat bags” at the club, Morris said: “Yeah, that’s absolutely the case.

“And he’s been frustrated about that for several years. He’s spoken to Luke Beveridge about it I think three years ago and that’s continued to fester.

Several years? He was drafted 4 years ago, it's good to see his concern for the Bulldogs goes back so far!

Montagna said it was time for the Pies to be transparent.

“Just say it’s a salary dump, ‘we need to free up some money in our salary cap’. Why don’t Collingwood come out and say that?” Montagna asked on Trading Day. “This is a bit of a poor reflection on Collingwood.

“They are leaking out these little bits of information that: ‘We’re not sure about him being able to handle being away from his (fiancee) and child for a year, we’re not sure he hits the scoreboard enough and kicks enough goals, we’re not sure the senior players or the coach want him.’

“What’s important to know is that in 2019, he took a massive pay hit so they could fit other players in the salary cap. What’s happening now, the reason why his salary is inflated is because they promised him he’d get that money back. They said: ‘We’ll extend your contract and we’ll give you that money back that you’ve taken a hit for the club.’ So he’s being selfless enough to take a hit for the club … and now they’re saying ‘well actually now that you’re worth too much, we want to try and move you on’.

“The other thing too that I find a little bit patronising: I’m sure he sat down with his partner before she signed a contract to go play netball – which is her career and they’ve done it together – they would’ve discussed the situation and he would’ve said ‘I’m fully supportive of you, we can make this work, let’s do it’. So who are Collingwood to tell him that they’re not sure that he can make it work if he’s had that conversation with his partner and thinks it can work.

“I’d love to see him walk back in the doors and play really good football – and the list management can work around it some other way. It’s not his fault that this situation is in those shoes.”

A whole lot of sense talked by the Fox Footy human balloons about the Treloar/Collingwood train wreck, Joey summarising the situation very well, right up until that unfortunate coin of frays at the end!

I doubt Bruce helped with standards.

Well you’ve nailed the basic half..
I hope so. Easy to understand basic English even for the so called smart people than talking in riddles. Actually that makes the person writing basic English the smart one because they are talking to everyone instead of those who talk in riddles as they are talking to very few.

Now I’m confused.

Not having variation is boring.

Interesting reading that Alan Richardson has been "promoted" to Melbourne's General Manager of AFL Football Performance position. Good on him.

"The review identified significant support for Simon Goodwin as senior coach with faith in his ability to take our team to AFL Finals success," CEO Gary Pert said in a letter to members.

"There is a real belief in the game plan and strategy, however there is also an acknowledgment by all involved that there was an inconsistent execution of the game plan this season.

"The review highlighted the coaching program requires an injection of new experience, energy and leadership around the senior coach."

Hahahahaha suckers!
Well it depends on whether you think he helped them improve this year. Facts show they improved. They hear and see what he does so common sense suggests he helped with that improvement.

I think that‘s rough and pretty judgemental to be frank.

You don’t have to agree with Gary, but that’s who he is and if you read a book about him, that’s what you’re going to get. He’s not telling you what to believe, he’s telling you what he believes and honestly, if that’s what it takes him to get through what have probably been some dark times in his life, with things like the fame/ infamy of his father, his sister‘s death, and having a very sick child, then so be it.

Read the book, avoid the parts you are not interested in, and appreciate the amazing player he’s been. Or don’t.
not judgmental just my opinion that his story seems as realistic as GoT...
im sure gary has a story of his life that is totally interesting without the need to heap on the mayo about God compelling him to watch late night TV ...
great he has found the path that brings him peace to deal with the things that have gone wrong in his life.. and in all honesty i would respect the fact that he finds comfort in the belief something bigger than him "has the wheel" but a little less on the mayo Gaz .. what next Jesus guided the toe poke of Scarletts boot....

Nah, that was lucifer, hence it being Scarlett who did it and it ended in a Rooke.

And the rivers ran red as the seas boiled and bearded blokes went "guess I'm building a boat, dunno about you guys" as if populations can be sustained by pairs and biodiversity is a thing that exists, but rooks can win games of chess.

Eerie sense, divine intervention for all those early missed shots, we should get paranormal guys to investigate the MCG from 2009-10, from lucifer to carrion? Hrrrrmmmm, Gaz might be onto something.

Religion /faith is quite clearly a big part of the story of Gary’s life.
Now you or I may not agree with it, but this is his story to tell.

So Geelong keep getting multi million $ grants to keep improving their shitty boutique stadium, can the saints lobby to get a single grandstand at RSEA?

The Vic Government has given a heap of money to RSEA park already, it's how it got built. And they gave another $13 million to build a grandstand, amongst other things.
