Popcorn time!

While Dunkley is said to be looking for more midfield time and a better deal, Morris reports that he’s also become “frustrated” with the leadership and culture at the Bulldogs.
Morris said the issue doesn’t pertain to senior figures coach Luke Beveridge and captain Marcus Bontempelli
, but rather a group of players who aren’t meeting Dunkley’s standards.
“He wants a more professional culture within the playing group,” Morris said. “He’s part of the leadership group and he’s pulling the club one way and he believes certain teammates are taking it the other way.”
When asked by Herald Sun reporter Jon Ralph if Dunkley feels that there are “rat bags” at the club, Morris said: “Yeah, that’s absolutely the case.
“And he’s been frustrated about that for several years. He’s spoken to Luke Beveridge about it I think three years ago and that’s continued to fester.
Several years? He was drafted 4 years ago, it's good to see his concern for the Bulldogs goes back so far!

Montagna said it was time for the Pies to be transparent.
“Just say it’s a salary dump, ‘we need to free up some money in our salary cap’. Why don’t Collingwood come out and say that?” Montagna asked on Trading Day. “This is a bit of a poor reflection on Collingwood.
“They are leaking out these little bits of information that: ‘We’re not sure about him being able to handle being away from his (fiancee) and child for a year, we’re not sure he hits the scoreboard enough and kicks enough goals, we’re not sure the senior players or the coach want him.’
“What’s important to know is that in 2019, he took a massive pay hit so they could fit other players in the salary cap. What’s happening now, the reason why his salary is inflated is because they promised him he’d get that money back. They said: ‘We’ll extend your contract and we’ll give you that money back that you’ve taken a hit for the club.’ So he’s being selfless enough to take a hit for the club … and now they’re saying ‘well actually now that you’re worth too much, we want to try and move you on’.
“The other thing too that I find a little bit patronising: I’m sure he sat down with his partner before she signed a contract to go play netball – which is her career and they’ve done it together – they would’ve discussed the situation and he would’ve said ‘I’m fully supportive of you, we can make this work, let’s do it’. So who are Collingwood to tell him that they’re not sure that he can make it work if he’s had that conversation with his partner and thinks it can work.
“I’d love to see him walk back in the doors and play really good football – and the list management can work around it some other way. It’s not his fault that this situation is in those shoes.”
A whole lot of sense talked by the Fox Footy human balloons about the Treloar/Collingwood train wreck, Joey summarising the situation very well, right up until that unfortunate coin of frays at the end!
