Burrow is awesome on the run and throwing scrambling, I've got no doubt the chargers will get to him a few times but it's not like hes a Manning or Brady with no athleticism.

Yea,and the other reason I like the bengals is coz of the chargers situation. Score 20 points or more and they have no hope.
Burrow is a rookie in his first game in charge of the the worst team in the NFL with a short preparation. Chargers have a side with a good defence, and legitimate offensive weapons and QB that knows the team and has NFL experience. Chargers should win!!

It's just an opinion mate. I'm not arguing who should or shouldn't be favs.

if they keep up the social activism they'll keep seeing number decline.
just stick to football
Is it that much a distraction? if fans don’t like it it’s easy to turn around or turn off and wait for game to start. Talk about softcocks

Tend to agree, no problem with it being a focus for the first game of new season but not game after game.
Unfortunately the problem is much bigger than a week. As NFL fans I feel like we should support the social activism until it leads to change. Rather than saying ‘we’re sick of seeing it’ and these sorts of things. I understand they aren’t politicians but it’s hard to argue with the point of all this. Racism is a huge issue everywhere and I don’t think it’s the right thing to say I’m ok with it but when it starts being an inconvenience it needs to stop. It’s not up to us and that’s the point.
Also sorry rumply if it seems like I’m having a go at you, I’m definitely not

Everyone will have their point of view on this & that's fine, I mean what do I know about being an oppressed black man, I'm a middle aged, white Aussie, doesnt get more privileged than that - That said, one of the main reasons I watch sport is to help switch off from all the bullshit that we see & hear about every day & which has almost become inescapable. I fully respect their rights to do whatever (peacefully) in order to progress the cause & if it's a couple minutes before each game, so be it but I suspect that'll lose it's intended impact fairly quickly.

Not if you’re black and you’re shit scared every you or your family member goes out.

There's probably a lot of people who don't actually care about football watching
True, I mean it could be that simple why numbers are down, sport just doesn’t mean as much

Fantasy panic,Boston Scott added in record numbers...

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Miles Sanders (hamstring) is out for Week 1 against Washington.
Sanders isn't even making the short trip with the team. The Eagles were very quiet surrounding Sanders' injury this training camp and simply labeled him "limited" in practice this past week. Schefter reports Sanders is "progressing well" and that the Eagles are sitting him "to make sure he's good to go for the long haul". It's not ideal, but it's the smart move. Boston Scott climbs into the RB2 mix for Week 1 even in a tough matchup against Washington's defensive line.

Evans from doubtful to questionable....

Mike Evans (hamstring) has been upgraded to questionable for Week 1 against the Saints.
Evans got in a limited practice Friday, giving him a chance to play. Bucs coach Bruce Arians has called Evans a "gametime decision" all week. Evans won't be 100 percent if he's active, but even on limited snaps, there should be enough targets for him in what projects as a high-scoring matchup. Scotty Miller would see an expanded role if Evans sits.
BET Slant:
Bookmakers around the country have already baked this news into the point spread. Even if Evans plays, he won't be anywhere near 100 percent. Don't expect much of a line move either as books have tons of liability on Tampa Bay. They'll be rooting for New Orleans to cover.

not sure how that really helps anyone
Why? Ignoring it for so many years hasn’t helped either. Wouldn’t it be more of a benefit than not?

Did you mention this with all the Salute to Service games and commemorations?
Or for discussion about Walter Payton man of the year?
