Watson looks lost without a real WR threat

KC did a good job of making sure to keep a lid on the top and not letting Fuller or Cooks getting through with deep plays which is what they’re great at. Had to settle for peppering the mid game with Fuller.

Free agent WR Josh Bellamy has been charged with fraud by the federal government for his alleged role in a Paycheck Protection Program scheme.
Bellamy is accused of mishandling nearly $500,000 in relief funds that were supposedly meant for his business. The 31-year-old was just cut by the Jets on Tuesday. This figures to end his NFL career.

Yup I was thinking scoring would be lower. Would expect the total under to hit more often than not.

David Johnson looked really good. Vintage DJ. I thought he was the best RB out there today.

Pretty boring game in reality. But still great to have the NFL back all the same.

It will be interesting to see how many other teams put up 30+ points with limited practise.

teams with established offences using the same scheme from last year will look better. new schemes/coaching staff will likely slow down some teams. but new D schemes could be picked apart by good QB's by confusing them and forcing breakdowns. Rookies will start strong because there in no Pro tape on them but slow down when teams learn how scheme against them

OL's look rusty early so strong pass rushes will make a bigger difference early.

Yeah he looked good when they could run the ball. but the 2nd half he didnt get much chance with KC being up big.

He would have been stuffed in the backfield nearly 10 times

I dont think they plan to run him much in goal line. You have Mahomes who can keep or Kelce. They could use the pitch option there. i saw it used around midfield today.

They might of just given him the ball because he was hot.

I wouldnt be surprised to see Darrel Williams start getting the goal line carries.

Having said that, you reckon you'd call a run play that isn't in the direction of JJ Watt wouldn't you? He was just destroying KCs line on the goal line.

You dont want to get the rookie hurt in goal line week 1 with little practice. that might by why Williams was getting them early.

Depends what plays they ran. If you run a trap you run at JJ and hope you make him miss but then dont expect Hall to also come unblocked and almost kill you
