Still would not ordinarily inject it in your chest. In fact that would be out of the ordinary
My hip is nowhere near my shoulder
My shoulder was the issue—within minutes of injecting that sh*t my shoulder felt great and I felt like I could run thru a wall.
5 hours later, however...
Pain and a lot of it lol
Yeah, not buying it lol
There is NO reason to give powerful painkillers (and trust me one like torodal is REALLY good sh*t) anywhere near his lungs.
Not buying it
I've heard of players getting injections at the direct source of the injury in afl. Can't say I'm totally familiar with the procedure coz I've never had one myself but ex players say all the time they have had jabs in the ankle for a swollen ankles etc.

Maybe so—just was not my experience at all
I asked about that at the time—doc said it was not necessary to inject into my shoulder and to avoid making the shoulder worse he wasn’t sticking a needle in it.
Said—don’t worry your shoulder is gonna feel fine
He wasn’t lying
Glad to hear it worked for you
But there is a difference between local injections (usually steroid and/or local anaesthetic) and systemic medications (whether they be oral, IV, or intramuscular).
Worked to well—lol
My understanding is steroids are illegal in the NFL
I know that is why I didn’t get steriods at the shoulder—and instead got toradol
Can pass the pee tests
Yup fair enough. Not sure about the rule with locally injected steroids, as opposed to doping with IV steroids but you could be right.
Not sure of the specifics with Tyrod. But my assumption would be that it was an acute chest wall injury for which they were trying a local anaesthetic injection to get him through the game.
Yes and I agree he must have had a chest injury they were trying to get him thru the game with.
But seems to me an anti inflammatory would be the more likely candidate to do so
But it is fair that I am well out of competitive sports long enough that maybe they have new techniques
If he REALLY did get injured by a doc botching that local injection up he should sue the ever living sh*t out of the team and have that docs license
Definitely not.
No procedure is without risk. And pneumothorax is a common complication of the procedure (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/11535906/) so he would have been aware of it. He could still sue the team though, but no chance the doctor would be in any trouble assuming they were trained to do the procedure and this was an unfortunate outcome.
If you punctured a lung and cracked ribs
I got no problem arguing medical malpractice
And live on 7mate as well.Also - Saints / Lions is a go !
Could try but don't think it would work
